19/11/2024 11:15 | Can't ask for more than that in the current environment. With the high repeating revenues, blue chip client base and overseas rollout to come in H2 FNX should continue to be a solid performer with periodic leg-ups as per the long-term chart. | rivaldo
19/11/2024 07:56 | 19 November 2024 Fonix plc ("Fonix" or the "Company") AGM Statement Positive start to new financial year in line with expectations Fonix, the mobile payments and messaging provider, is pleased to provide the following update ahead of the Company's Annual General Meeting ("AGM"), to be held at 9:00a.m. today. Fonix has had a positive start to the financial year, in line with expectations, across both the UK and Ireland. At the same time, the Company is progressing well with its plans to roll out interactive services with a number of broadcasters in Portugal in early 2025. With high levels of repeating revenue and a strong run-rate from key clients, the Board continues to be confident in the growth potential for Fonix for the rest of the financial year and beyond. | bamboo2
30/10/2024 23:11 | It is a mistake closing price, expect to open in the 240-245 zones, where it was traded in the last minutes, so don't be surprise for a 5% drop tomorrow... | hericsaba
30/10/2024 18:51 | Nice jump today. This tech has huge additional potential. Look what is happening in Australia with businesses trying to avoid card payment charges. Using QR codes for purchases. It's not the same, but these guys will have lots of eyes on this type of opportunity. Brilliant takeover stock by a big player with ready to go infrastructure. | schooled
30/10/2024 14:34 | Those nervous investors who sold out pre budget are scrambling to get back in. | igoe104
25/10/2024 06:19 | At the AGM, shareholders are being asked to approve, amongst other things, a final dividend of 5.70p per share, which if approved, will be paid on 29 November 2024 to those shareholders who were on the register at the close of business on 22 November 2024 (record date), with a corresponding ex-dividend date of 21 November 2024. | lauders
21/10/2024 08:21 | I think some are reading this too negatively. Fonix have been flagging for some time that this bill was likely to happen and they were aiming to input to it alongside their media clients. So they had to put out an RNS now that it is progressing, even if the bill says nothing relating to their clients. Looking at the UK bill, it is much more likely that this bill is targeted at other forms of betting, where harm can occur due to addiction or people spending beyond their means, as in the UK, where a small levy was also added to fund NHS treatment for gambling addiction. TV/radio/print 'no purchase' prize draws are unlikely to be of concern. It is likely to include a ban on using credit cards, which if anything could benefit Fonix as providers may look to other payment forms. | felix1
18/10/2024 18:47 | SaadiaThey said:"To that end, our Irish broadcaster customers, which represented the vast majority of the Company's revenue outside the UK in FY24, are continuing to seek legal advice over the potential impact, if any, of the Bill on their business."So would assume a big chunk of the 15%.Only concern is why don't they know if it impacts non purchase prize draws?, been in the pipeline for nearly 2 years and I'd have thought the BoD would have been all over it way before now and would have sought legal advice to know exactly what the Act covers. Introducing doubt is never welcomed by the market. For transparency not a holder but on my watch list. | disc0dave46
18/10/2024 07:57 | :o)) Since he joined ADVFN 18 months ago, Mr Llama has posted a mere 17 times in total. This is his first comment on FNX, and it perhaps says more about him than anyone or anything else. I was under the impression that this was meant to be a community where opinions can be ventured freely, but hey, what can you do if some prefer cynicism, negativity and personal comment to actual discussion of stocks. Mr Llama did make one good point though - this is only a "potential" issue, and FNX are right to alert us to that. Though the comments I've posted above from Cavendish would seem to make even this "potential" issue pretty redundant in general, and specifically at worst with no effect anyway for some time to come. IMHO! EDIT - exactly Kirkie001! | rivaldo
18/10/2024 07:55 | llama - do you want to attempt to counter a reasoned discussion of why someone doesn't think the news is material to the share price, or do you want to be a bit of an idiot? | kirkie001
18/10/2024 07:24 | "This really isn't an issue:" Well, thank goodness for that! There I was thinking that, as the company has put out an RNS on the matter, potentially it could be an issue. Afear not though. Rampaldo is here once again to assure us that in actual fact, it "really" is nothing of the kind! "it's surely a buying opportunity." Surely! Of course that makes sense - let's all increase our exposure to the non-issue. | llama_investor
18/10/2024 06:57 | This really isn't an issue: - Cavendish this morning reiterate recently upgraded expectations - Ireland is a small proportion of FNX's revenues - there's no mention of prize draws in the Bill anyway As Cavendish put it bluntly this morning: "We note that similar existing legislation in the UK excludes broadcaster prize draw competitions, and the company currently expects customer services in Ireland to continue to operate unchanged, with the Bill not yet enacted and the Regulator not yet set up, and no currently clear timetable for this to take place" If there's any significant markdown then it's surely a buying opportunity. | rivaldo
18/10/2024 06:54 | Most of that currently, I think. | johndoe23
18/10/2024 06:52 | 85% of revenue is from the UK and 15% from the rest of Europe. How much Ireland contributes to this 15%, I'm not sure. | saadia110
