Go Fan Duel Go! They should buy Wynnbet and BetRivers or PointsBet who won't ever make money given the huge delta. In the end, expect FD, DK, Caesars an BetMGM to dominate this market. maybe a few outliers for niche customers, but not much effect.

A bit of good news...

"PokerStars, the number one operator of the most successful online poker sites on the planet, will once again organize and sponsor the Monte-Carlo Casino European Poker Tour (EPT) this spring, after two long years of absence due to COVID-19 restrictions." AND....

"Regional Poker Tours Back in Europe After Five-Year Hiatus

In spite of the times of uncertainty we live in and throwing a big focus on maintaining the safety and health of all players and staff members, PokerStars also made the announcement that its regional poker tours will be resumed in Europe after a long hiatus that latest five years. Spain, the UK, France, Monaco, and the Czech Republic will host the Estrellas Poker Tour, The UK, and Ireland Poker Tour, the France Poker Series, and the Eureka Poker Tour between March and November 2022."

The proposal to limit promotional tax deductions to one year in Virginia has failed - at least for this year anywayhttps://www.legalsportsreport.com/64878/va-sportsbooks-bill-to-limit-deductions-dies/

Talking about promotions and their cost.....In LA sports betting legislation, sportsbooks can deduct up to $5 million in promotional spending per year. At least one sportsbook used up the entire allocation, according to a presentation at Thursday's LGCB meeting.Ouch!!https://www.legalsportsreport.com/65034/louisiana-sports-betting-handle-receives-mobile-boost/

Caesars cutting back immediately on ad spendingYou are going to see us dramatically curtail our traditional media spend effective immediately. We have accomplished what we set out to do," he said. "We set out to become a significant player, and it's happened significantly quicker than we thought.https://www.casino.org/news/caesars-is-dramatically-paring-its-sports-betting-ad-spending/

Tax rates on revenue is going to b a big issue. Every state will try to match NY rates. Flutter & others have to draw a line how much to spend on promotion in the state with high tax rate. Right now stock market don’t care of revenue but net profit.

Flutter will be pulling PokerStars out of Georgia, since next month they will be setting an effective tax rate of up to 65%-70% for online gaming operators. Citing economic sustainability is near impossible with virtually no margins.

Talk about shooting your economy in the foot

there were some serious give aways to buy clients. Those clients will last far beyond the Super Bowl.I suspect a lot of improved performance leading away from the Super Bowl. Just look at the spends on advertising in that week...crazy!

NY online sportsbooks took in $472 million in handle in the week leading up to (and including) Super LVI, but generated "only" $15.4 million in revenue, the lowest figure in the five full weeks legal mobile wagering has been live; another 51% of that revenue went to taxes.

Management buyout perhaps. Can't see the FTC sanctioning a takeover by any of the major players. They blocked the DK / FD merger earlier

You are right that DK will bring others down but also become a takeover target pretty soon

DK results are out. Market expect meet or exceed results and guidance on each and every parameters. Stock is almost down by 20% in early trading.

At $18 and 800M shares out, DK is still about 15B market cap with projected revenue of 2B in 2022 & net EBIDA loss of 825M.

What is so disruptive about DK technology others don't have. Don't know why Cathie Wood is so fond of DK

Flutter is also down around 4% in sympathy. My point is if Flutter price is based on DK, we will be in pain in coming weeks & months. DK can go in single digit.

In handle terms in NY FanDuel is wiping the floor with the opposition. Why is it then that their revenue and hold figures lag way behind Caesars and DK in both January and the first week in February?https://www.legalsportsreport.com/64981/january-2022-revenue-ny-sports-betting/

I agree, FD is doing relatively better compared to DK, Caesar etc. but is Flutter doing better in absolute terms also? What is the performance of Flutter out of US?
