29/4/2008 08:07 | Sellers put bid down to 96p but not for long! | battlebus
29/4/2008 07:55 | Small shareholders would have little or no say anyhow it's up to the management and large investors.Lets hope we are not taken out as in 2/3 years the shares could treble. | battlebus
29/4/2008 07:38 | CR, I don't dispute that. My point was that shareholders should demand a fair price for their stock given the prospects for the business. Following the results statement I would be disappointed with a bid below 150p. Regards | techmark
29/4/2008 07:36 | Marked up too - mm's out to get stock before a bid now imo CR | cockneyrebel
29/4/2008 07:33 | forget what FLO can do imo - these are getting taken out by Mentor soon imo. My only wonder was was there going to be something special in these results that warranted a 104p purchase in a hurry by Mentor. Can't see anything despite FLO looking like they are getting their act together and board changes. Therefore with Mentor's rush to buy 30% at 104p so quick it's only gonna be days before we hear they are in talks imo, if not an RNS later today. "Bid" @ 104p+ engraved on the whole thing now imo. 29/4/2008 07:27 | Cash balance in excess of £5.5 million and growing. Asian and European growth very strong. I think this company can do £3 million of profit in the future. Even if you only place the stock on 10 times you get to £30 million then you put the cash on top and you get to £35 million plus. That's just over 150p a share. With the cash pile growing and a higher multiple you could easily make a case for 200p a share. The word is out that Flomerics' business is going great guns and that's why Mentor was so keen to grab as much stock as it could at 104p. Don't let them have your stock cheap! Outlook There is the opportunity for sales of the EFD product range to continue growing strongly and to make an increasingly significant contribution to the business. Investments in sales and marketing during 2007 have placed the Company in an excellent position to take advantage of the wider market opportunity for the EFD products whilst maintaining Flomerics' leading position in the field of electronics cooling. As a result, the Directors are excited about the future and confident that the investments will start to deliver a significant increase in shareholder value. | techmark
29/4/2008 07:14 | Excellent results. No surprise there was no mention of Mentor. Flo is doing extremely well on its own and it looks like Mentor will have to go hostile to take it out. | psolomons
28/4/2008 22:13 | Lets hope the management do the honourable thing and obtain a maximum price for thier suffering shareholders... Anything above 150p would be a stellar job on their part given their performance to date. Regards Source | source
28/4/2008 21:51 | They might have bought more shares today because Flo management won't play ball and will annouce tomorrow it's not for sale. | battlebus
28/4/2008 20:55 | Why would that require Mentor to to grab every last share they could get at a large premium, just before the results? Surely if that was the case they could take their time and get that holding at a much lower price? I reckon there's bid news tomorrow - we'll see. CR | cockneyrebel
28/4/2008 20:41 | The prelims could of course include the news that Mentor and FLO are to form a strategic alliance-with a couple of Mentor nominees beefing up the Flomerics board;(seeing that Source feels that our company has been lost in the wilderness for too long).Again ,this is not my bag--but WHO KNOWS???? | mudbath
28/4/2008 19:27 | Seems Mentor are going to push this through - with a hairs less than a 30% accumulated stake they seem ready to pull the trigger (maybe tommorow after results). At the AGM last year I stated to the board that I thought they had no concrete strategy to convert the various articles of market growth they often cite...Seems Mentor agreed and are opportunistically going to snap this up...Finally some shareholder value should acrrue. Flomerics should have returned cash to shareholders given their continued slippages. Realistically, given the stage of recovery & huge cash pile) the bid should be at least 25% to 45% above the current price (giving a take out price of 125p tp 145p)... Exciting time ahead...Don't let 'em take your shares cheap! Regards SOURCE. | source
28/4/2008 17:53 | bungler-just calling it as I see it.Should Mentor bid, then thats OK by me.Whatever transpires, it looks as though our going way too heavy with this one is going to pay off!!!Lovely Jubbly.(could of course be KKE buying-or a trading position being established with a view to levering any possible bid to higher levels) | mudbath
28/4/2008 17:10 | So nothing after the bell, never mind. Lets see what the numbers say in the morning but the share price at the moment is more to do with a potential bid than the financial figures. | psolomons
28/4/2008 16:06 | I wonder if there will be an announcement after the bell today ! | psolomons
28/4/2008 16:04 | I'd be interested to know if you still think Mentor's is a strategic stake mudbath? Can't see anything but a bid now myself - but I guess you never know. | bungler
28/4/2008 15:40 | Can't read you Gravey - you're filtered :-) Bad move selling here when it was a stone wall bid of 104p+ imo And that is 104p+ - could be anything above that I bet, it's a US co and thet don't faf around! RAY looking like I'm going to get my bid there too today - another US bidder I bet - wonder if I'll have a double tomorrow. And then there's ASC :-) £4 Numis target - it just gets better and better :-) CR | cockneyrebel
28/4/2008 15:33 | CR Thanks. Here's the full Livermore quote for those interested. Chapter V) ... "The reason is that a man may see straight and clearly and yet become impatient or doubtful when the market takes its time about doing as he figured it must do. That is why so many men in Wall Street, who are not at all in the sucker class, not even in the third grade, nevertheless lose money. The market does not beat them. They beat themselves, because though they have brains they cannot sit tight." | techmark
28/4/2008 15:29 | 8Trader's post from above: 8Trader - 10 Apr'08 - 12:26 - 1206 of 1300 techmark. When online bid size is tiny anybody trying to sell will get refused or have to take a discount, how many times has this happened in Flo recently only to see the price go 15-25p higher a few days later when the lines of stock available get snapped up. Cant believe somebody would sell at 89p when 92p bid and with current events surrounding the stock." And then he sold lolololol. Bid tomorrow I reckon :-) CR | cockneyrebel
28/4/2008 15:28 | What was Jesse Livermore's quote? "The market does not beat them, they beat themselves", or something like that. | techmark
28/4/2008 15:22 | Bad I'd guess - but not quite as bad as the one who sold at 76 last Thursday! | bungler
28/4/2008 15:18 | How does last week's 82p seller feel now? A little thought before you sell goes a long way! | techmark
28/4/2008 15:14 | they are on 29.975% | eezvmt |
