Woosh! Clearly, anybody letting their stock go for less than 104p is barking!

A bid announcement with the results and Mentor have to pay everyone at least 104p if they have made a bid.

My bet is they will need to pay more than that to get the co - probably 130p+ but they have to pay 104p if they bid within the next couple of months.

Can't lose here imo.

is that a (paired) roll over trade at 104p with 2 x 280,000 shares , timed at 2.37pm?

[buy / sell prices at that time were 81p to sell/ 83p to buy ]

Though the mm's seemed to like it and have ticked up

Even their involvement in the"Nanopack Consortium"(sounds like a Robert Ludlum novel)as one of the SME's could add £750,000 to 2008 profits as ,being fully funded, the E.U. should be covering the salaries of the 15 staff(boffins) at MicReD,whilst they persue their research.

Mudbath,

RESULTS due Tuesday.Likely T/O =£17.5million, producing an adjusted N/Profit of £1.05million.Current year projections, having regard to the latest trading update from FLO,would point towards a 2008 T/O of £20.5 million,generating-imo on this one-an adjusted N/P of £2.20 million.I am hoping that their forwrd looking statement will,in fact,be significantly more bullish; in which event, £3million could become the ball park profit figure. All elementary of course if Mentor,as other posters are so confident,do indeed launch a bid for our company.Whilst I do not share this concensus view; being obliged to give up my interest in Flomerics for,say,£1.45 per share, would come as no great hardship!!

I hope you are right about the results. If Mentor are only taking a stake at 104p a share then that is probably even more bullish, because that means they must see the price going to 150p, or even 200p plus.

Regards

mudbath - you haven't been reading my posts!

"18 Mar'08 - 19:57 - 901 of 1293

Don't think this has been mentioned yet, but Flomerics already work with Mentor:

Flomerics is a member of the Mentor Graphics "Open Door" partner program. Boards designed in the Mentor Graphics software environment can be imported into FLO/PCB and FLOTHERM via the IDF neutral file format. The type of data transferred includes board outline; cutouts; component size and height; component power dissipation; component thermal data (if present), and component placement"

LARGE SCALE INTEGRATED IP PROJECT
#Missed Flomerics involvement(via MicReD) this MAJOR EU funded project as well.Importantly,ANSYS,one of FLO's major competitors is not being asked to participate.

To quote. The EU FUNDED"Nanopack Consortium consists of 4 major industrial partners-4 innovative SME's and 6 academic groups in total representing 8 European countries."THALES(major FLO clients and supporters)are the coordinators.
!!! BIG LEAGUE !!!

I think Mentor would struggle to buy these at the 104p that they got their stake for.

Directors and Employees hold 20%, Institutions 22% and two major holders have 11% so Mentor will need to win over at least a decent part of those holders.

Reckon that will take more than 104p that they hav already paid imo.

The info is based on the RNS of 10th April (see top of thread) saying 28.77%

Also on calculating the shares they have aginst the Total Voting Rights RNS

But it has dropped to 28.75% with the additional listing...

Or do yuo have some information you may wish to pass on?
