I guess the signs were there today, plain for all to see (certainly the mm's knew what was coming.....just the PI's who were in the dark....especially those who sold):

Interesting to note how well the FLO price holds up (indeed, steadily rises with more buyers again this a.m.) on a day when the markets are broadly down/red across most of the board with low vol. and few buyers about for other stocks ;O)

abcd1234 - 8 Apr'08 - 10:51 - 1156 of 1185 edit

just ticked up on Level 2 again on no apparent trade.....
must be some buying in the background not being shown ?

abcd1234 - 8 Apr'08 - 14:26 - 1159 of 1185 edit

the mm LAND was happy to take over 14,000 shares in 3 sells over the last few hours without ticking down etc
Yet, FLO has just ticked up on Level 2 again on no apparent trade/buy.....
.... hmmm ;O)

battlebus-The muddie £5 still backs "no bid".The fact that Mentor may well have stopped short of crossing the 30% threshold could support this theory.Don't really mind either way though, as long as FLO hit £1.50 soon.

agree with the above re it being one package of 682k they've now grabbed at 104p, and that takes them to just a snip below the big 3 0 ;O)

Ofcourse your right Techmark. what are we thinking! The 682k buy is 3.23% of the company so add that to the 25.77 they already own leaves them with 29%. This has to be the final purchase before they certainly make an approach.

Very true techmark. There are maybe ten institutions who have less than 3% holdings in Flomerics,so if Mentor(or others)wish to stake build, then we may well see continuing high levels of stock turnover in the days ahead.

Guys,

I may be wrong but I think the 682K and the 532K & 150K trade may be the same trade, in other words Mentor only picked up 682k today, that would keep them just below the 30% level.

If you remember last time, two trades went through at 104p for 1.38 million shares, even though only 1.38 million shares changed hands.

I'm guessing here, but I think these off market transactions may show twice because it comes once from the seller and then once from the buyer, if that makes sense.

The forthcoming RNS should clear things up.

Regards.

yep, that's another 10%+.

Has to be Mentor imo, paying 104p is just too much of a coincidence.

If it is Mentor buying they now hold over 30% so a offer must now be made. It's all good it's all good!!!

those trades today @ 104p must ne Mentor buying again, another RNS soon imo.

Just wonder what price the bid will come in at? I can't see it being too much more than 104p. Perhaps 104p is a small discount to the intended bid price, for instance the bid may be 115p.

Can't understand why more people aren't buying now at 92 - surely there's a minimum of 12 pence a share profit in there - assuming Mentor have to bid at 104 minimum? Any ideas?

And how abcd, but surely it would take a rival party a very long time to get anywhere near a decent stake.

21.6 million shares in issue - 1.364,000 just bought - very roughly 5% - takes them to 31 odd % unless I'm much mistaken? Expect the RNS then - unless of course it's someone else.

How much did the tax sellers at 78p get stitched up last week. They saw them coming a mile off.

bungler..well if mentor paid 104p for their big stake so far, it would seem plausible/likely
