Chess123, how will the expected government tapering of assistance to bus and rail businesses affect the bottom line here?

Still in shock at how rapidly the share price has collapsed , like 30p in a few days.. yet when EQT said they wanted to buy the share price rocketed, when they did buy the share price goes into freefall.

rimau, you only have to buy a roaming ticket on Greyhound to realise just how clueless the managers of this company are. A girl guide could do a better job, there's lots of wasted opportunities for cross selling, and for making the experience of using these buses much more pleasant than the grim experience that it currently is. I can only conclude that no director has ever bought a roaming ticket and actually spent a few days experiencing the 'product'. Instead of taking an intelligent look at Greyhound and adding value at very little cost, it looks like they are desperate to dump it because they can't be bothered to understand it, and thus add value.

Look for entry in the 60s being used as a punch bag by day traders

Still strong selling pressure, looking at 2p lower to start, could be in 60s by friday. , 5p to 8p falls is now the norm. Usually if starts negative finishes negative.

Reason for the drop IMO. First Bus / US is the jewel in the crown. They are selling the crown jewels to focus on the UK. Except (1) they can’t find a buyer for Greyhound which will suffer further write downs this year (its worth broadly nil but on the books at £180m), in the UK the direction of travel is for rail nationalisation which then just leaves UK buses. Not particularly attractive and low growth? All IMO, just trying to figure out the drop.

Agree with you Chess ...Very tricky call.

Well managed company BUT.... and there are too many BUTs at the moment.

Am monitoring and expecting the share price to re-vist the sixties. Will probably re-invest then.

Many folks will remain reluctant to get out and about, and even more reluctant to use public transport, for many many months to come.

Also, government support which has kept services afloat during the pandemic, will cease at some point (I heard 8 weeks after the 'end of the crisis', but have no idea what that really means).

Working from home will also remain a thing..

It's not only the busses though. There is going to be a massive uplift in train travel with people holidaying at home as well.

Don't understand the logic which is great as it leads to an exceptional price level to buy in at.

Support level is showing at 74p ,but looking weak, ,if falls below 74p which unfortunately is looking possible, because of large drop over past few days 63p is next drop down.
