I doubt you would keep ploughing part of your salary into the company if you thought there were problems ahead.
Although he gets paid too much, it is still a good sign.
Would you plough your money in if you thought they were in trouble?
A good sign imho,
When he stops then you can be worried
:-) |
emest i dont know what direction the shares are going but there is bad weather ahead good luck with your trade. |
well that just shows the silly money directors at this company get paid. with this standing instruction he also gets 2500 options free shares every month approx ive not checked. they need to knuckle down and get this company into profit and stop having a jolly at the shareholders expense . |
Very true Patricia!
How do you see the Share Price going this year, historically it always goes up Spring Summer then dips? I hope it does the same this year! |
i dont think i will value a company on its revenue alone it didnt do swt virgin any good on the east coast mainline franchise |
Perhaps the best (or worst?) example of a company facing a significant pension deficit is bus and rail operator First Group (LSE: FGP). A similar study by JLT earlier this year found that it had the largest pension liability of any company in the FTSE 250 (just over £4bn) relative to its market cap (£1.2bn). Although the value of First Group has increased very slightly (to £1.4bn) since the report was published, that’s still hugely worrying. With the shares trading at less than nine times forward earnings, it strikes me as a value trap of the highest order. |
Pension deficit now down 50 Million to 300. Excellent progress by the board.
Revenue from the South Western Franchise alone values the Company at over £1 a share ( SWR Gross turnover at 1 Billion a year). |
People will be thanking sanks later in the year when it 7p. |
Just checked the latest annual report and the pension deficit was only 350m gbp. Probably lower now. |
any thoughts on the 4 billion plus pension deficit |
Now for some Rugby! |
Nearly blue finish! I spent considerable time looking at level 2 today . I think many day traders looking for a quick few percent are now out.
Should bring some calm next week and past history shows good share price growth every Sring. I still think we will be up at the £1 mark in March for sure! |
:-0 hope so ernest |
Boraki , the share has stabilised and should finish up today starting its upwards trend to break £1 IMO
Should be a good few weeks here at least. |
Nice to see I have picked another winner again,,,, Not |
Seems to have had a nice turnaround since 11am . Up and Blue and i see a couple of Mill buys too.
Nice |
Funny my above post got the thumbs down when it is actually factually correct !!!
Some absolute morons on these boards. |
Classic over cooked sell off. Should reasonably gain a good 5% tomorrow if not more.
I certainly took advantage of the bargain price this afternoon. Will hold for medium term. |
Regarding debt, IC don't seem to have a clue.
FGP net debt was just under 1.2 billion.
GOG net debt was just under 300 million. |
IC View
The shares fell 13 per cent on the morning of the news, but there is still reason to be optimistic about FirstGroup. Refinancing of the group’s debt will cost a one-off £11m but will save £14m annually from next year. FirstGroup already has much less debt compared with transport peers Stagecoach (SGC) and Go-Ahead (GOG). This is especially true considering its corporate tax rate in the US will fall in percentage terms from the mid-30s to low 20s. We think this still looks like a long-term recovery story. At 85p, or seven times forward earnings, we reckon investors should take advantage of the shares' weakness. Buy.
Last IC View: Buy, 94p, 14 Nov 2017 |
The Market has over reacted here. Soon be above £1 again in the short term. |
You only have to buy yourself a weeks 'wander' ticket for the Greyhound system to experience what it is like to be a customer and discover what's wrong with this company. Indeed you will know on day one! My guess is that the Greyhound buses survive because there is largely no rail or other bus competition, and 200 mile plane trips are largely impractical or not available. |
