Even on a merger the shares will be exchanged for next to nothing.

"Down, down, deeper and down" The coming dilution will be massive, PI's will be virtually wiped out IMO.

Yes its shocking, going to be nothing left for PI's it seems, looking likely it will be taken private by the big stakeholders unless they get a merger with another company.

Surely in the contract they would have something to do with recovering the cost of power supply disruption. So any additional cost in hiring generators could be reclaimed? Dave, you are correct. Why not have a backup plan. Unless the mine was constructed on the cheap! Every announcement the company makes is bad news. Nothing ever positive. Nothing about large diamonds being found. Nothing about Directors backing the company they work for. It’s all doom and gloom. I honestly fear the worst is just around the corner. From the high of 2 years ago it’s now at the brink of collapse :-(

dave, I agree, they had diesel generators there before they linked up to the electric grid, so why remove them in the first place? GEMD have backup, FDI don't, what a total farce!

Yes GEMD are close by but fully covered for outages

Can believe they didnt already have back up generators to be honest up there, where power outages must be common. They are thoughtout SA so Lesotho must be pretty bad.

Frome the GEMD website : Monday, 7 October 2019 Further to recent reports relating to power supply issues in Lesotho, the Company’s operations are unaffected. Furthermore, the Letšeng mine has full backup power generators in the event of any interruption to the power supply. For further information: Gem Diamonds Gem gets its power via a different power line that also can connect directly into the RSA supply.

I wonder how the water supply situation is on the minesite, as I see Lesotho is in a drought. Maybe a coincidence however, the Katse Dam that supplys Lesotho's hydro electric plant is down to 13% capacity compared to a levle of 50% 12 months ago - so a good time to shut the system down for "maintenance"!

superg1, Interesting thought about the "broken stones", they certainly haven't found any more since they apparently have the ability to avoid breaking them. The diamond market downturn was unfortunate as you can't predict these things over the years it takes to finance and build the mine. The coming dilution will destroy shareholder value here, IMO.

Level 2 just Peel on the Bid at .55 with Wins and Bego on the offer .7. I had this as a buy at 17p when they started to build the plant and a sell at 55p when the plant was complete. Anything more needed big stones from the off. There is still that nagging point on how they supposedly found big valuable stones but broke them (in the feasibility study), but on full tilt have found very little. Either BS about the broken stones and their value, or extreme bad luck. Post 55p and heading down I've never had it as a buy due to the diamond market in general. Unfortunately after immense efforts to get the mine running it may have all gone to waste as FDI ran into a devastating diamond market.
