18/10/2013 16:05 | He he he he! Maybe the police returned the computers? | valentine
18/10/2013 16:02 | Maybe, for a change, they have recovered a big diamond in one piece? | abtwo
18/10/2013 14:30 | I would not invest here because: Even if finance arranged, no income until 2016 (best case scenario, slippage likely) Even if bank loan of 80% of CAPEX arranged, remaining 20% will be against future sales, leaving bottom line depleted for several years after 2016. Already up almost 100% off lows. Leave well alone IMO. | earnestwipplethwaiteiii
18/10/2013 14:11 | What does this sound like as a theory: funding for 80/85 % arranged. The residual has been arranged through major shareholders at a share price higher than currently traded( but not as high as it'll go once everything confirmed)because they know it the final piece in jigsaw and once confirmed share price will be towards 8 p. so someone heard something along these lines and buying at suppressed lows??? Open to comments | bigglesbingham
18/10/2013 14:04 | 13% up on no news! 8 million shares traded for around £30,000 in value. Many shares traded, but in term of the market not much value, although volume much higher than normal. Clearly somebody thinks good news is coming! Personally I'm not holding my breath..... | andy
18/10/2013 13:00 | Some large trades would suggest so. | bsg
18/10/2013 12:46 | Maybe they have managed to arrange funding? Something definately going on i would suggest. | varrirob
18/10/2013 11:43 | Personally I wouldn't touch this, especially not after the recent rises. Leopards and spots, etc. | earnestwipplethwaiteiii
18/10/2013 11:38 | Amazingly quiet here as it's going up! | bsg
10/10/2013 23:10 | Director bonuses in all but name $166,000 free shares to Mr Genovese for being a great non-exec _$90,000 free shares to Mr Jonker, great but not quite as great _$75,000 free shares to Mr Treger for not selling any shares yet _$40,000 free shares to Mr Wilkes for all round excellence as CEO | bam bam rubble
10/10/2013 22:32 | phoenixs, Me neither! You were by far the more deserving! You really did them proud.... Look at what they have awarded themselves! US $166,000! for what exactly? | andy
10/10/2013 10:11 | Andy, don't ever remember you or I getting freebies for non exec. roles with this outfit!!!! | phoenixs
09/10/2013 22:00 | I picked this link up from the BOD thread. Anyone else seen this? Could be good for us? hxxp://www.china.org | varrirob
06/10/2013 15:28 | CEO earning his fees by arranging a big dollar sale of FDIs remaining South Africa interests, primarily the Oena Mine - an asset the Kenny's were particularly proud of. The price achieved; nil At the same time the new management give an insight into the quality of their reporting standards by referring to it as a sale for the princely sum of £173,000. What they don't say is 173k is the residual sum held in those SA subsidiaries (in restricted accounts as rehabilitation costs etc) so they are transferring the subsidiaries cash to a 3rd party who will pass back the cash to FDI in a nil value transaction. | bam bam rubble
06/10/2013 13:32 | biggles, New CEO is earning decent money being here, nothing to do with "sinking ships"! Previous CEO's have done extremely well at FDI, earning around double the UK Prime Minister whilst shareholder value has gone down the toilet by the bucketful! If he were unemployed, human nature would certainly prevail? I'd d take the job if it were offered! | andy
05/10/2013 10:16 | Use less muscles laughing than crying! I look at companies for people who run them. Similar play is plant implant - very small company with great ideas and product - with powerhouse management . | bigglesbingham
04/10/2013 23:28 | I like your optimism biggles | varrirob
04/10/2013 08:21 | That 100000 at 2.9 shows as sale but it's my buy. A stickler for punishment but new CEO doesn't join a sinking ship. But gone in with eyes wide open. Reading RNS I believe equity raise has been arranged and I believe it will be above this price because it will be linked to a plan where it completes funding and future would be assured. | bigglesbingham
24/9/2013 09:45 | Fundraising. Dilution. | jscapper
24/9/2013 09:38 | "...generate value for shareholders". Wot, like in the last five years? | earnestwipplethwaiteiii
24/9/2013 09:15 | Varrirob, Sometimes a change of broker will mean bringing their clients into the stock, which would be positive, but the broker dismissed may well take his clients out, so the incoming broker needs to be the larger in order for this to be positive. === "Following on from the recent appointment of Stuart Brown as CEO designate, the Board of Firestone looks forward to working with its advisory team to generate value for shareholders. === Obviously employing a comedian to write the RNS! | andy
24/9/2013 08:52 | Andy - any thoughts on the new RNS? I know these things happen occasionally and with most normal shares it wouldn't arouse any suspicion but I just wonder if this are starting to take shape in the background (and hopefully in a positive way). | varrirob
09/9/2013 16:45 | None the less buywell2 14 Aug'13 - 17:30 - 2039 of 2048 0 0 edit SP on the rise as predicted 3.25p chart resistance Key level that .... Still a POS mind ... but now with a frosted topping of De Beers fudge chunks Interesting development in CHL Andy re the arrest of the Government Minister on corruption charges | buywell2
05/9/2013 19:33 | As speculation goes, the suggestion BK11 has found a suitor is quite 'out there' seeing as it was one of the worst diamond mines to ever grace a stock exchange. It doesn't quite fit the article though whereas Mantle Diamonds' Lerala mine does; "Kimberley poised to double production with an acquisition in Botswana" - Kim's a 150k carats/year producer whereas FDI only managed some 10k carats/yr from BK11. "JORC resource for 6-7 years production" - This fits Lerala's reported 6-7 year mine life, whereas BK11's was said to be 10 years. | bam bam rubble |
