05/8/2010 12:03 | 314,759 shares traded today on the Aus. market, which implies growing volume, ie good news. The share price initially ticked up but then remained flat. But then here on Aim we see also a larger volume, currently 112,559 shares, and the share price gets slaughtered again, one can only assume because most or all were sells. Yesterday and the day before you could get almost 20p to sell, today it's 18.5p to buy and very difficult to sell at all (at least according to Selftrade online). The real question is whether the MMs or others are playing games designed to shake out nervous small holders. But it seems that the Aus. market is leading and will be the one to watch in order to get a better sense of the true share price | coffeelito
05/8/2010 10:21 | Good post Steve. | jonny flame

03/8/2010 13:19 | Aye glad I topped up this morning thanks to seeing that piece from someuwin. Was waiting for it to may be drop back down to 17p again but looks as though exposure building so no point hanging around for the odd penny. | soulsauce
03/8/2010 13:12 | Nice 6k buy @ 22p, which has ticked the share price up. | jonny flame
03/8/2010 07:58 | Yes, relatively de-risked producer/explorer with true multi-bag potential. Market will have to take notice at some point. | someuwin
03/8/2010 07:22 | I concur, great find someuwin! FND starting to get some exposure at last? | jonny flame
03/8/2010 06:42 | someuwin excellent find. | soulsauce
03/8/2010 06:23 | COPPER speculators will be cheered another voice has been heard for the red metal. Foster Stockbroking joins the ranks of those predicting high prices for the red metal in the short to medium term. "We believe the recent strength in copper prices has been spurred by abating fears of a significant Chinese slowdown and some sense of increased stability in European and North American economies," the report said. And base metals bulls would have been encouraged by overnight trading on the London Metal Exchange. Copper rose by 2.9 per cent, or $US213 a tonne, to $US7510. Futures contracts out in New York show that the net long copper position in the week ending July 27 totalled 11,250 contacts - against just 3915 contracts the week before. The big gainer last night was lead, up 6.6 per cent to $US2214/tonne, followed by a 4.8 per cent rise in zinc to $US2122/tonne. Nickel rose 3.8 per cent notwithstanding a significant rise in LME stockpiles. And Foster Stockbroking, in its latest copper sector report, does some of its own speculating. The report says that OZ Minerals, facing been squeezed out of Sandfire Resources, may take an interest in Rex Minerals which last week announced a 100 million tonne resource at its Hillside copper prospect on South Australia's Yorke Peninsula. (The OZL move to take a 19.9 per cent stake in SFR was seen as a precursor to a takeover - but this seems to have been thwarted by a blocking interest held by South Korean interests.) Fosters say that, while Rex's grade may seem low, the economics of the project could be quite compelling given consensus copper price forecasts are considerably higher than historical prices. Analyst Michael Evans says Finders Resources is his value pick among the developers. The company's demonstration plant, which is producing up to 5 tonnes a day of copper cathode, goes a significant way to de-risking that project, he adds... | someuwin
02/8/2010 10:33 | Hi Chip, yes indeed, also add MNC to that list and WTI. However FND are the ONLY actual current copper producer. I think! | jonny flame
02/8/2010 10:18 | JF, There are others on AIM with a substantial focus on copper: DME - BFS/financing due RMM - Already largely financed - production in 2011 EMED - Awaiting approvals to re-open PRT mine ACU - hugely diluted after major problems. BZT - big copper and gold resource but future uncertain FML - mainly copper but also gold | chipperfrd
02/8/2010 09:58 | Up 9% in Aus last night with high trading volume. | cyprussteve
02/8/2010 08:31 | The price of copper may also help with a rerating. FND is the only small cap/aim copper producer (please correct me if I am wrong). | jonny flame
02/8/2010 08:20 | Just topped up. I bought some Finders ages ago and have been meaning to get some more. It does seem only a matter of time before a major rerating. Once they get Wetar up to full production the revenue they get will be huge and with Ojalali as an exciting prospect it's all to play for here ... dyor, imo, bbb | grazzer
01/8/2010 07:27 | Thanks Jonny - some interesting postings. Assay results from Ojalali due in next few weeks, plus expansion to Wetar - exciting times I think. Spread still horrible, but, that will change as production gets ramped up. Summary of recent articles / reports below. | cyprussteve
29/7/2010 16:41 | Of general interest; | jonny flame
29/7/2010 11:05 | Hi Hector, Yes - but, not just "moving up" - huge growth forecast over the next few years. IF all these forecasts are correct, think what a multi bagger this could be at the current share price Ciao Steve | cyprussteve
29/7/2010 07:50 | Very comprehensive report, thanks Cyprus Steve. THe summary of expected valuations somewhat resembles chips' eg 2012 and 2013 are quite exponential returns from early days in 2011. Target price 75c/share ( oz cents I assume) presumably 75c in the ist coming year then moving up in 2012 and 2013. | hectorp
29/7/2010 05:14 | New Brokers report. | cyprussteve
28/7/2010 13:27 | Someuwin - Yes. I bought some shares today and plan on building up a stake, I see MNC going the way of KIW. See you on that BB. | jonny flame
