I’m inclined to back the prospects here at this price/ it’s clear from the 2nd RNS there no actual buyers for it yet but I imagine that will change and fast

We need to get this year's results out of the way now first.
We know they won't be good, as they'll be thumped short-term by lockdown.

But after that things should perk up nicely if eatery establishments are allowed open reasonably quickly, and this tech could help.
On a wider scale, this offering of both sanitation and temp. screening could allow Cruise ships start up again.
Carnival as a long-term customer ????

Kmk

Paul Hill at Equity Development points out that Kromek is well advanced on its US Department of Defence contract to develop a groundbreaking vehicle biological threat detector that rapidly detects any airborne pathogen used in germ warfare. Mr Hill understands that the “same first-of-its-kind science can also accurately and consistently recognise Covid-19” and could have “substantial benefits for many non-military applications, such as shopping centres, sports arenas, theme parks, schools, hospitals, offices, airplanes, and cruise ships”. This is certainly not being priced in, nor is the real possibility of additional ventilator orders. The shares offer 100 per cent upside to my 35p target price. Buy.

("Filta", the "Company" or the "Group")

Launch of specialist COVID-19 sanitising service

Filta Group Holdings PLC (AIM: FLTA), a provider of fryer management and other services to commercial kitchens, is pleased to announce the UK launch of FiltaShield, a new sanitising service to help businesses combat and prevent the spread of Coronavirus (COVID-19).

Working closely with industry experts and specialist chemical suppliers, Filta is extending its range of environmental services and deploying an approved, laboratory-tested Coronavirus sanitising solution, which is effective against all enveloped viruses, killing them within minutes. The anti-viral solution, which has been developed for use in restaurants, bars, shops, offices as well as healthcare facilities, is applied to a surface by spraying or fogging, leaving behind a mono-molecular layer that bonds to the surface and protects surfaces for up to 30 days.

In addition, as part of its service to tackle Coronavirus and help businesses and public bodies adapt to new safety requirements, Filta has teamed up with a technology supplier to supply and manage temperature screening devices for its customers, which can screen up to 30 people per second for a fever. The devices, which are installed at the entrances of buildings, provide operators with a further preventive measure against the spread of Coronavirus.

CEO of Filta Group, Jason Sayers said: "As companies look to open up again after the current lockdown, the safety of employees, visitors and clients will be a key focus.

"We are proud to have developed this highly effective service in such a short period, and are now helping businesses and organisations make the necessary preparations to get back up and running as quickly as possible.

"Filta has always sought to adapt to the needs of its customers, and has already seen a growing number of orders from existing clients, as well as interest from businesses outside of our traditional customer base of restaurants and hospitality. Whilst FiltaShield is currently only available in the UK, we will look to roll out this service in the U.S. and Europe in due course."

This service can apply to any commercial premises that wants it, in addition to all their regular business locations. And it takes a lot of time to properly disinfect a building on a regular basis, when Covid can last for several days on a surface. Hence 85% share price rise so far...

Even up 70% the market cap is arguably still modest if their core business reverts to anything like normality. Where's there's muck etc.

This was RNS news not RNSNON

bookbroker yes they do wipe tables but as babbler has put it. A restaurant can boast in its window/website that it has been deep cleaned by specialists not just an underpaid student brushing the table with a damp cloth.

Ive been looking to average up but nothing available online yet.

Good gimmick, but will be one of many offering disinfectant products, would have hoped that most restaurants already wipe the the tables with anti-bacterial products, they bloody well should, perhaps not Spoons, most of the time food all over the place!
