Opposing views make the market - some of us see value, some warning signs. You pays your money...FWIW, to my mind today's results give further reasons for the recent departure of their CFO - this person, whoever it was, obviously had no clue how to manage expectations and forecast while allowing some internal margin for unforseen delays.Get some professionals on board who know how to run publicly listed company and this is a lump of coal waiting to be polished into a diamond - but the underlying quality is visible already if you look carefully

You miss the fact that the miss is purely down to delays in the IMAX roll out nothing the company can do.just some lumpy revenues been moved into FY2020 (April 2019 onwards)otherwise in line or better and up tick in business across board..

The comment by the ceo that they are disappointed in the share price and they will investigate ways to improve itStop issuing continual profit warning may be a start

Hi UW

It's weak. I was expecting $8m+ which I had lowballed, not $6m. Rating somewhat absorbs. No punches. I'll cut my FY EPS by 35% = 4.2p of EPS so 7.5 PE. "Separately, the Board is clearly disappointed by the Company's poor share price performance ... exploring the options..." However, I'm not going to chuck the baby out with the bathwater. It's not shocking given the rating it was on. Ive lowballed my FY eps to get to that 7.5x rating, which is more aligned to reality. 5x was not sustainable, in this case because the market expected a big haircut which it has now got. It's cheap enough to look though IMO given they are "exploring options", which I suspect may end up including the likes of a tender offer for some of the stock at a higher price (buyback too illiquid) or an MBO at a higher price. If the decline is sharp today I think it'd be overdone, just because of where this is at. Plus you get some more acquired growth kicking in next year so shouldn't just be a linear decline at all. And more comforted that its budget size versus budget quantity that's an issue this half

And the price reflects that.

£40 mil cap

12-13 mil cash pre tax profits £3.5-4 mil

Seems good value to me

The profit warning is actually a profit deferral. This year’s numbers will be weak. Next year with any kind of recovery they will be up against weak comparables and so the cycle begins. In this market you have to post stellar results just to stand still so unsurprising to see the mark down pre market.
