These could be intersting time however I'm not getting to carried away. I expected ION to have made a move months ago and they didn't....ION could have bought FFA for a snip of the price.....I can now see 17p to 22p as a take out price with Cinnober now on the scene, but the question is when or if....... Doing nothing will cost ION or Cinnober if they have intention of a bid.....at the moment we don't know there intentions.....Worse case would be they just sit there as ION have done.....As I've said doing nothing is going to cost if they have the intention of a takeover....... FFA stock is a rising stock now with massive potential for growth and earnings.

I suppose the name has a number of connotations but it's purely down to an enjoyment of slightly painful past time.

I didn't expect the arrival of Cinnober, who did?, but it really opens up a number of endgame scenarios. Fortunately for us holders, none of them are bad news.
Bring it on.

Very new to this game (posting on the BB that is). I have been buying for most of February and now they are my biggest holding.
I can see a bid battle looming here for sure and the FT article picked it up nicely.
You have to bear in mind that nothing made the press when Blackrock or the other new large holder bought in, but they soon picked up on the Cinnober stake though!
ION must be well miffed as that more or less forces them to pay over what the company broker values them at and that's 17p+.
They only have themselves to blame as they could have cleaned up at this level if they had followed through when they bought out Gartmore.
The thing is that the company will be reporting better numbers, a probable divi and now have a new fan, so what a way to start 2011!!!!

We could see a fight for control now for FFA however alot is going to depend on ION.
ION have 25% of FFA but they also have 29% of PTS...If ION go for PTS first then the FFA share price will rise and would cost more to buy FFA and it may spur Cinnober on to make a bid for FFA.
If ION go for FFA then the PTS share price will rise and again cost more to gain control.
ION could go for both PTS and FFA at the same time but how deep are ION backers pockets.
If Cinnober make an offer for FFA will ION fight.
ION should have moved for FFA earlier on...Waiting all this time is going to cost them millions.

Looks like we may have a cat fight on our hands gentlemen.

Surely something solid has to materialise out of all this?

This has got to be the dullest share I have ever owned !

Unless they were planning to buy more, why not take a smaller stake now ( one which they wouldn`t have to disclose ) rather than alerting the market ?

These large purchases are interesting but...
If the share price goes sub 10p then the MM's are still in control of this stock despite all this recent interest.
They will hike the price up on a sniff of buying interest only to ram it back down in the buyers face as soon as the purchasing is over. Price manipulation or demand and supply?..... you decide.

Buying spree slowed right down now....

Its all speculation but all the buys that have through this morning have been nice round number 20k to 40k to 45k and the share price has moved up 1.250p on 300k buys only........Just like we have a buy order in the market.

Looks like the MM's have stock now after that last sell....We might see a tick down if there is no more buying....Still not heard any reason for the share price rise, If we stay at this level ION will be kicking themselves as now going to cost alot more for a takeover if they can afford it LOL.
