clive, we would need a little more info and the JORC results to be fair. I think the point is the leases are worth a lot more than we are paying and probably a hell of a lot more and we are just taking advantage of a depressed market ? that coupled with a respected management.

So we are paying 320k cash and 140k shares for the asset.

Anyone able to number crunch and come up with a potential value for the asset?

Ferrum Crescent (LON:FCR, 0.17p) - Speculative Buy
On Friday, Ferrum Crescent (Ferrum) released an update for the quarter ended 31st December 2015. During this period, the company entered into a legally binding farm-in and joint venture (JV) agreement with Business Venture Investments (BVI). This JV would complete the bankable feasibility study (BFS) for the Moonlight Iron Project in Limpopo Province in the northern part of South Africa. As per the agreement, BVI would fully fund the BFS across two phases in return of up to 43% equity interest in Ferrum Iron Ore (FIO), the company’s subsidiary that holds the project. Work on BFS Phase 1 is expected to commence in this quarter. The company terminated the memorandum of understanding with Principle Monarchy Investments. Justin Tooth was appointed Non-Executive Chairman of the company in December 2015 following the resignation of Ed Nealon. Following this period, the company agreed with BVI to extend the timetable for the completion of BFS Phase I by three months to 12th January 2017. The company has initiated discussions with potential domestic off-takers.

Our view: Ferrum made significant progress in the quarter ended 31st December 2015. The Moonlight project has estimated mineral resources of 307.7 million tonnes (Mt) at 26.9% Fe, with the inferred category projected to contain 172.1 Mt at 25.3% Fe. The company remains fully funded for the completion of BFS by its partner BVI. Ferrum remains on track to start BFS Phase 1 activities by the end of the current quarter. Meanwhile, the company’s marketing team has begun searching for off-takers for the products obtained from the project. Additionally, as per recently announced results, Ferrum performed robustly, limiting losses and improving the cash position. In light of the above argument, we maintain a Speculative Buy rating on the stock.

A couple of minor points your little brain has overlooked pat.
1/ any one here who follows my post knows i have never ramped this, far from it.
2/ Just suppose i was spec7 and spec7 was blackss ? So what ? just because two people hold a stock and neither appear to like you doesn't make them the same person.....lol, I'm sure many people grow to dislike you week on week.

Off topic chaps ,

Take a look at Leg , they are in an uptrend and are about to have a year high break-out next week .The chart is awesome in every time frame and its in a golden cross 100dma above 200dma . Transformational news is due at anytime regarding a huge NHS contract (even Nick Jenkins who sold Moonpig / dragon from Dragons den ) has recently taken a stake in Virtualstock , where leg owns 7% . Leg is undervalued and could easily become 2016 best performer on Aim .

Read through the rnss and make your own minds up (put on your watch list at the very least) .
