Do you think Ed was mistaken when he said at that presentation that they were locked out of buying shares over 18p?

Not many small caps buy back their own shares so it's very impressive.

Should be a Rns soon but the company tends to wait a week when they bagged several
lots of stock before updating their latest purchases.

for an Inv Trust its usually a sign of confidence in the assets (cheapest stock is our own)

for a corporate it has certain tax benefits, but mainly its because the directors can get paid on EPS, and the fewer the number outstanding the better they get paid !

oooh what a cynic i am.

Fewer shares in issue, therefore higher share price at any given MCap. Also shows the company is behind its shareholders.

Something has to give.

18.67p bid but bid is for company buy backs.

18.9p offer 37,500 max which has come down a lot today, if it goes blue it should race up to 20-22p range for a trade.

On the whole seems like a good move to me - trading a minor short-term discount for a greater longer-term gain.

hmmmm NUU agrees to lower the take out price from 1$ TO 60c(still PLUS 0.3546 APH) - quite a discount to the original value.

"I thought of the 18p as more of a safety net."

I agree, and as news arrives to support the SP, I expect that level to be raised. The stated aim of the Board is, after all, to get the share price to a level more in accord with the aggregate value of the company's investments.

so last night looks like it went great, NOT lol, PR still a big problem for us or was this staged because of the buyback being around 18p, i did say a couple of weeks ago this would hold us back, but picture still looks good but with another buyback it could be next year, unless a deal is struck on the next buyback, one step forward two steps back come to mind, GLA
