28/7/2016 20:22 | FastFwd Innovations @ffwdinnovations 17s Great article on the explosive growth in China #onlinevideo . Investee Yooya is capitalizing on it... twitter.com/YooyaChi View details · | doodlebug4
28/7/2016 19:33 | A US$1.9million investment for a 15% stake in Yooya is beginning to sound like a great deal. I must admit to being sceptical about this FFWD investment initially, but I'm delighted to be proved wrong.:-) | doodlebug4
28/7/2016 18:41 | yooya looks more and more interesting, could be a total company maker especially considering the 15% stake | wolf9
28/7/2016 14:59 | FastFwd Innovations Retweeted Yooya @YooyaChina 6h More users are becoming paying subscribers, says @LiYuan6 | doodlebug4
28/7/2016 13:22 | Thank you for that mark, it does sound quite interesting the way you describe it.I must admit the concept doesn't flick my switches, but perhaps it might be worth giving it a trial run - as they say, don't knock something if you haven't tried it. | doodlebug4
28/7/2016 13:15 | I would like to add that I'm not a nerd and only play the game when the other half is watching corrie or some other depressing soap!!! | mustardmark
28/7/2016 13:13 | After reading the announcement my initial conclusion was that this would be similar to Supercell's Clash of Clans - build your village, raid for resources, upgrade your defences and troops, join a clan and go to war etc etc. What makes this appealing to its target audience of which I am one?? IMO they have successfully tapped into psyche of gamers who always want to upgrade to the next level, to be stronger than your opponent. With all these games there will be those who are quite happy to wait for the upgrades (which can be up to 14 days) to mature freely or buy gems from Supercell to get instant gratification. To put this into context, a fully upgraded base using gems will be £10k plus!!! I've just looked at Coin Master on you tube (very limited videos) and would say that the target market is much younger than Clash of Clans - rather than collecting resources through farming it would appear you do this by using a slot machine, revenue to Moon would be via on line purchase of additional spins on the machine. Would I install it? probably not based on the 6 min youtube clip, I prefer my games with more strategy however I can see the appeal for the younger generation who only want to spend perhaps 30mins a day on a game. | mustardmark
28/7/2016 12:18 | Amazing figures trotters! No idea what age group would be hooked on these games IMO it would depend on having spare time in the day 😝😝 | moormoney
28/7/2016 11:05 | Apart from the potential revenues for FFWD I'm curious to know what sort of age group these games appeal to Trotters. | doodlebug4
28/7/2016 10:58 | you only need one of these games to capture the imagination of the public and you are looking at a multi million, if not billion dollar product. Candy Crush was a classic example, the maker KING was sold for billions on the strength on that title alone | trotterstrading
28/7/2016 09:09 | I will update the header to include the new investee company later today. | doodlebug4
28/7/2016 08:53 | Thank you for all the info and links bdog. | doodlebug4
28/7/2016 08:25 | Moon Active Ltd "has developed significantly advanced proprietary technology, including its own in-house gaming infrastructure, machine learning based gameplay technology and in-game personalization mechanics. The company believes that these proprietary technologies are key to its continued success." I'm guessing it's this proprietary innovative gaming tech that attracted FFWD to investing in Moon Active, in particular. | bdog51
27/7/2016 23:22 | Thank you all for this helpful context. I didn't realise that uprades were such a monthly outlay for addicts. So i can imagine each generation of technological advance supplanting the last. | ronconomics
27/7/2016 23:01 | Indeed the gaming industry is experiencing rapid growth. It's a very hot sector to be investing in right now. Loads of articles out there to support this fact, eg - THE GLOBAL GAMES MARKET REACHES $99.6 BILLION IN 2016, MOBILE GENERATING 37%. Gamers worldwide will generate a total of $99.6 billion in revenues in 2016, up 8.5% compared to 2015. Game industry to grow nearly 5% annually through 2020 Video games will become a $99.6B industry this year (2016) as mobile overtakes consoles and PCs Value of the global video games market from 2011 to 2020 (in billion U.S. dollars) FFWD Board of Directors are wisely 'following the money' .. once again, great investment strategy being demonstrated here by a world class investment team. As for the current SP, it's a steal IMHO! | bdog51
27/7/2016 22:19 | I think focussing on the gaming industry (mobile especially) is a great move.... This coming from an ex-mobile gaming (practically addict). My drug was a strategy war game called Empire four kingdoms and I regularly spent £70 - £100 per month (over a 24 month period) on purchasing premium upgrades to help keep me competitive. I was definitely not one of the big spenders on the game either (I knew some people that would spend circa £1000 per month on it). FFWD on a winning strategy imo. | siennadelekat21
27/7/2016 21:23 | It's a time difference issue fillipe, we've seen quite a few news releases issued after the close here. | doodlebug4
27/7/2016 20:47 | RNS was put out at 1659hrs, a time which most folks reckon those who do their news "after hours" are hoping there will be few peeps around to actually read it! f | fillipe
27/7/2016 19:36 | From the last company strategic update -"The Company believes that there are exceptional opportunities available to it in the gaming technology sector. These opportunities are available to the Company largely because of the network of the Company's Board of Directors, advisers and large shareholders. The Company believes that the gaming technology sector has very positive macro-economic characteristics and represents a very significant growth opportunity."I'm confident to trust the board on this investment. They have extensive experience in this sector... | bdog51
27/7/2016 18:53 | At least it's not pokemon db....utterly mindless IMO! No idea why They are going for these investments but I think they are going for a broad spread of future trends, though I'm not a fan either. :)) but I assume loads of money must be the reason! | moormoney
27/7/2016 18:22 | I must admit this kind of investment doesn't enthuse me, but if it fires up the share price I won't be complaining. These type of investments strike me as passing fads - here today and gone tomorrow. Just giving my honest opinion, I'm still invested in FFWD and I appreciate other shareholder's views. | doodlebug4 |
