07/8/2016 11:17 | i think ffwd said in a rns that they maybe looking to get rid the edtech, and maybe go with a stand alone version, i could be completely wrong, if so please say as i might of picked that up wrong, in the long run for me its all about gaming and yooya, i,m not knocking other investments but think these are are key players | monkeymonkey
07/8/2016 10:56 | hxxp://fstfwd.co/blo I always feel greatly reassured whenever I read this blog that Edtech is also the way forward for FFWD, and that Schoold is a great investment. The market for college counseling is $56 billion per year and Schoold has the no.1 app in providing just that. Whatever the economic and political climate education will always be a key priority in any civilised society. The possibilities in the field of Edtech are enormous and Schoold has already come a long way in a short space of time in spotting those opportunities. Vemo I think could also be a great success, but it's whether the idea of investors funding students catches on. Let's hope so, but Schoold's concept is a definite winner. | tikka1
06/8/2016 14:58 | Yes thanks Db. I agree our valuation looks crazy against those investments IMO not a dud one among them. | moormoney
06/8/2016 14:39 | Thanks doodlebug for 4600. I hadn't got a definitive list like that so most useful. Even at this early stage. these have got to be much much more than the valuations attributed when FFWD bought in. For example Yooya valued at around 12.67 mn when we bought in. Must be multiples of that now surely? | flashheart
06/8/2016 13:51 | Thank you tikka, you're right about the further investment in Schoold - I can't seem to get the link to that news item to work on the FFWD website. I think the 10% stake in SatoshiPay will look particularly cheap at the price once the tie-up with Visa Europe starts reaping the rewards. | doodlebug4
06/8/2016 13:21 | Cheers DB for the summary. It's useful to have a quick reminder of our investees and the amounts we own. I do believe FFWD increased its stake in Schoold to 12.3% however according to the 12th July RNS, which has to be a good sign. It's frustrating to see the share price drift downwards yet again, but I do believe that the total value of all the investee companies is well in excess of the £15m market cap of FFWD, with the enormous growth we have seen with the likes of Yooya, Schoold, Factom and Leap Gaming. Any one of these could grow to a market cap many times FFWD's market cap in time. There's no point in worrying too much about the daily fluctuations in the share price | tikka1
06/8/2016 12:13 | Good to have two new investors posting here this week, welcome to tikka and madmax. With nine Investee Companies at the moment it's difficult to keep track of where we are right now, so I've done a brief summary of the %invested in each company and the total purchase price to FFWD. I think these figures are accurate, but I'm happy to be corrected. Moon Active - 5.9% stake and total cost US$500,000 Leap Gaming - 41.15% stake and total cost US$3.5million Schoold - 9.1% stake and total cost US$1million Yooya Media - 15% stake and total cost US$1.9million Vemo Ed - 12.5% stake and total cost US$1.5million Factom - 3.64% stake and total cost US$400,000 Intensity Therapeutics - 3.5% stake and total cost US$500,000 Diabetic Boot Company - 4.9% stake and total cost £347,324 SatoshiPay - 10% stake and total cost Euros159,986 Edit: Schoold should read as a 12.3% stake and total cost US$1.7million thanks to tikka for pointing that out. | doodlebug4
05/8/2016 21:52 | Leap Gaming "virtual gaming / virtual sports" promotional video - (not sure if this has been posted here before) | bdog51
05/8/2016 21:51 | I'm down as well at the moment but not too fussed as we are in the quiet summer period mind you I expect the Bod to start pulling out the rabbits after the holidays are over. No spare cash to take advantage unfortunately but I would if I could! | moormoney
05/8/2016 21:17 | PulseFlowTech @PulseFlowTech Aug 4 BBC News - Diabetes is no laughing matter, say young sufferers bbc.co.uk/news/healt | doodlebug4
05/8/2016 16:47 | Welcome max, a good price indeed. | flashheart
05/8/2016 16:30 | Evening all, new poster here. Been following this share for the last few weeks and finally brought in here. 34087 @ 11.7p share. Pretty happy with the price and the future potential. | madmax17
05/8/2016 16:12 | Would be good! | rafboy
05/8/2016 15:59 | You'll be ok. Double bottom now and bounce next week. | flashheart
05/8/2016 15:44 | Agree doodlebug with your comment above. Flashheart, have a fair few here and am down around £3K. Bought too many in the teens! | rafboy
05/8/2016 15:40 | Can buy at 11.7 at the moment if anyone cares to join me for a nibble. | flashheart
05/8/2016 15:37 | It is frustrating rafboy particularly when all the Investee Companies are performing well and making progress. I think it's the uncertainty about which direction the BOD are taking this company - we know that further investments are going to be concentrated in the gaming sector, but that is about it at the moment. | doodlebug4
05/8/2016 15:22 | Finding the drip drip down just a little frustrating. Hope we do sell an investment soon and that the share price reacts positively. | rafboy
05/8/2016 14:10 | yes think ur right DB, maybe he,s just keeping his card close to his chest, you never know | monkeymonkey
05/8/2016 13:51 | The last blog on the FFWD website was about one month ago and you do get the impression that the company could do a lot more about marketing and promotion in this country. There's not much point in having articles in the Wall Street Journal and Washington Times if private investors don't read these broadsheets.imo | doodlebug4
05/8/2016 13:35 | Yes it's all very well to have the "smart money investors" taking part in the placings, but private investors drive the share price on a daily basis. We need news regularly to keep the interest here stimulated and a few tweets from the various Investee Companies just isn't enough. | doodlebug4
05/8/2016 13:10 | MM,S got this by the balls for now, need more private investers, ive now stopped topping up as a waste of time for now, got a good core holding for now will wait for the next kill lol, | monkeymonkey
05/8/2016 11:31 | I'm pleased we have a decent stake in yooya, exciting prospects there. | moormoney
05/8/2016 11:15 | Staggering.....10 X the whole population of the UK. | flashheart
05/8/2016 11:13 | Yooya Retweeted CHINA @china 17h China now has 656m mobile web users, and 710m total internet users by @ChinaGeeks | doodlebug4 |
