This is just mm's hitting stops and shaking out holders, frightening them into selling. Volumes are too low for news leaks and there is quite a few buys this morning. Wait for news..they aren't going to shoot the price up before a result, but drop it and create some panic...they will.

FOGL needs Viagra. Presume the next RNS will be the promises for next year. Any thoughts on the promises that will be made to keep us punters interested?

Wonder if someone knows something, the share price looks ill. How deep are they drilling, this has been going on for ages.

Whoppy -
your assumptions are that the pressure was too great - or the BOP failed again.
Or loss of mud circulation
Of course any of that might have happened - but so could many other things.
I simply think it's dangerous to presume anything in seeking to explain why they haven't released news yet - but if you want to - knock yourself out.
I personally think if we'd hit oil we'd have most like heard by now -
but that doesn't mean I'm right.
I'll be holding for Isobel in my ISA shares anyway.

ngms, they have to consult with partners and to ask for the FIG's permission to change things, whatever the FIG decide they still have to return to the 1/2 done isobel well..

agna, agree to not taking note of gossip, think the oil to water at rachel put such gossip home to bed. i tend to look at rns's, the fastest being sealion which was given on their excitement of the first oil find, after that it seemed only the dry ones put out that quick, otherwise it was to rig movement after logging.

Actually another big risk is whether there are any Hydrocarbons and if so whether they are the elusive oil in what's been a very gassy SFB.

Agna - Those assumptions are what the 3D says. Whenever they have drilled based on the 3D they have found HC's. The main risk at Humpback is whether there is a seal. If there is, then it should be all good.

What Isobel drill ;)

PMO want to swap Jayne East for an Isobel stepout that will also target stacked sands above Isobel Deep. They have consulted with partners and the FIG and will have a decision within two weeks. It seems that FIG may not play ball.

If they don't get to swap the drill then it's 2017/18 for the appraisal.

PMO think they could prove up more oil than they currently have in the NFB through this complex so a massive massive drill for everyone.

Lets hope PMO get their way.

Tongosti - I saw too many people relying on gossip during the 2010 campaign.
I did quite well out of that one on pure luck of my instinct - but I know nothing is certain or predictable.
Results just get released when they are ready. Length of drilling time etc is irrelevant to the result.
Nothing is certain except death and taxes (and nurses according to one bloke I worked with - but he was a very bad man..:) )

If we go much longer without news - say mid September - I'll sell some from my trading account to buy back cheaper before the Isobel drill.

It's binary - like the lottery. I'll either win it - or I won't. 50/50.....:)

Agna - I like your sense of realism. Most investors / speculators are only open to similar views. As you know, I am long here but am fully prepared to deal with the downside (which is minor - from current levels - compared to potential upside). That's why I appreciate feedback which looks at the reality as it is rather than fall pray to wishful thinking which has ruined the pockets of so many in this game. GLA

Whoppy - that's an awful lot of assumptions.
We have no idea why there were apparent delays at the beginning.
none at all.
Efagie - in a normal drill if there is oil, the news gets out whether it's TD or not.
Companies generally like their success to be known.
If they have TD and it's dry - they make poke around desperately with side cores etc to try and show some result for their efforts and money.
That's why I generally think no news is bad news in a drill.
However - NBL are really keeping things close to their chest - and have done since the start - so I'm not worried until I read bad news in an RNS.

The Info leaks on the last campaign were shameful.

Ngm. The drills in nfb including the arg licence will run well into 2016 so continuity into 17 18 would be right.Any successes and pmo will react accordingly. Their results show a solid company.

Don't disagree agna, but normally we get told when TD is reached and its found dry, with logging & P&A being done afterwards. we shall see, in time..
