Utter bs, this company is worth whatever the shareholders and willing to sell at and investors are willing to buy at. If anything with more people sitting on big losses its more likely they wont want to sell for less than what they bought in for but market sentiment drives the buyers and fogl has little like every other oily at the mo. Fogl will prove up as many reserves as it can and then sit til recovery time.

I saw an interesting post the other day that insinuated that because so many investors are underwater with fogl and des etc that this share will never rise past 50p. Is this the general consensus

TBS....I don't know what money PMO has or hasn't.
That they are browsing for FI items gives me a little more hope that they will stay the course.

Let's say there are HC's at Humpback..brings a lot of other prospects into play..all adding up to BIG volumes of oil..so ask yourself..if the NFB and SFB has a working petroleum system and one day it will be worth Billions..who's going to walk away?

All i know is whenever they have drilled 3D targets they have hit HC's. ;P

Apart from that does anyone want to be looking/producing big oil in Libya, Iraq, Iran, Kurdistan, Africa, Arctic, Alaska, Russia etc....with what's going on in the world. The only doubt about the Falklands seems to be Argentina..but Christina is going in October and no doubt relations will improve with the UK..look what's happened in Cuba.

Those 3D surveys don't just throw up any old response to what's down there..in fact the 3D surveys have always underestimated the volumes in place. BOR has doubled it's volumes at Darwin since the find. What the 3D is looking at in Humpback will be revealed soon. It will be HC's of some sort. Just need it to be sealed and to be some sort of oil/liquid.

I shudder to think about where this campaign's going now that PMO are in a position where they may not meet their commitments.
Noble may well be our savour BUT they may equally well be the company who shafts everyone imo.

PMO are still browsing hardware for the FI. So the intention seems there for the moment.
I won't even take a guess at what will happen though.
Anything can happen in the next 5 minutes etc.

Biggie trade for 590,019 shares @ 23.75p. Hope it's a buy. MM's wouldn't pay £140k if it was a sell?? they're not that generous!!

agree efagie, they may choose to core for their own benefit. better info than just logging. FIG also require it for some wells (appraisals?)

thought logging was for the companies benefit as it shows porosities and suchlike for any prospective oil/gas sand. coring is a requirement for the FIG for their geological records, though can't remember the exact details to where or when..

edit: agree its within the original drilling timeline..

well whatever they need to do, it should be in the original 65 day estimate.

I thought logging was needed for appraisal, not exploration - from a FIG point of view anyway

not just logging, don't they have to core?

rig went meandering off station for about that time - observed from marine traffic, which reports these things. discussion about this on iii, as it happened.

Generally, I believe they allow 30% contingency in costing wells, so 65 days is really 50, if all goes well.

So on balance, 65 days, and Aug 17 may still hold.

Of course the amount of logging needed will depend on what they find - so room for variation in time up or down.

I think we just have to wait and see!
