29/7/2015 15:33 | Remember the days after rockhopper struck oil the price went from penny share to 5.40 There is the same probability with FOGLRockhopper said drilling in the North Basin off the islands in the South Atlantic had penetrated "multiple" reservoir targets. The four oil fields called Beverley, Casper South, Casper and Sea Lion all contained hydrocarbons and there was no water found."This fantastic result from our most aggressive well of the campaign will further increase our minimum estimates of oil in place for Sea Lion and Casper, in addition to proving two new discoveries in Beverley and Casper South, which is our third oil discovery in the basin," Samuel Moody, chief executive, saidRockhopper has a 60pc interest in the well and Desire Petroleum has a 40pc stake. The discovery "should start to convince investors" that Rockhopper has a "large economic field," says Keith Morris, an oil analyst at Evolution Group. He raised his target on the shares to 540p from 450p following the news and maintained a "buy" recommendation. | specul82
28/7/2015 11:24 | hxxps://www.pressand Exloration in the North Sea ia alive and well, it seems. See Shell and BP are returning to the 3 on and 3 off rota. They've been looking for an excuse to do this since the 2 on-3 off was introduced. IMHO. | agnabeya
27/7/2015 19:51 | Contrary to T'Pau's hit we're in China's hands and they took a hammering yesterday. In the meantime everyone and their dog are shorting oil. hxxp://oilandenergyi | the black spanner

27/7/2015 15:50 | Think there are plenty waiting to grab some on a duster for the isobel follow up... Tho with the oil price will premier want to waste anymore on a follow up? Hope they do lol. | robpuguk
27/7/2015 15:44 | Who knows of the whys of the today's price action but one of the following three (or a combination somewhat of them all) may have the answer:1. Reaction to current stock and energy market woes 2. Humpy is a duster3. Technical trading pulling out loss stoping levelsHave the feeling we will know once Humpy's results are made public! | tongosti
23/7/2015 10:16 | Here'sjust a short selection of the articles in this weeks' oilvoice newsletter. You read them all and takes your choice. You may have to search the articles individualy, but these were all issued together in the news letter. There were more of them too. MOST READ OF THE LAST WEEK The Iraqi-Kurd Oil agreement means dangerous political disagreement By Anthony Franks OBE Oil Price Crash of 2014 / 15 Update By Euan Mearns China and Iran Reshape Oil Market Thinking By John Richardson The Head of Total Patrick Pouyanne talks about Russian sanctions, Yamal LNG and Iran Has U.S. oil production started to turn down? 23/7/2015 10:04 | Adg.....opinions on that subject vary so massively depending on who you read. The Oil Voice weekly round up had several articles. I think no-one really knows what is going yo happen with the oil price. If the trouble with the Iraq/Kurdish deal comes to pass....I reckon all bets are off. The Falklands has been a game of pztience for years now. I don't think anyone who has held since 1999 can be accused of wanting a fast return. Lol | agnabeya
23/7/2015 09:17 | some pretty grim reading; the industry and price is cyclic - anybody with a modicum of patience and some spare cash could do well and take advantage in this downturn - some screaming oil recovery plays and some crazy yields just now.... I like tullow and premier for recovery plays - or T/O plays... too big to disappear but on shakey ground just now for various reasons - barring absolute meltdown they will survive and be at a multiple of todays share price in several years time. But the whippersnappers of today want IMMEDIATE MULTIBAGGER PROFITS AND THEY WANT IT NOW !!!! so not for them. | adg
21/7/2015 13:58 | Perhaps not at the moment TBS, but the oil is finite, and even although they don't explore much, big companies are still watching the companies who do. It's been that way for a good while now throughout high and low oil prices. To follow your thinking to the logical conclusion, no exploration company should even bother looking. If we don't even look for oil, we have less than nothing to show for it. By that I refer to wasted opportunities. For better or worse I've put my money into oil exploration companies. If they don't explore, there's not much point in being in. Is there? As an aside, this week and last I noticed Fogl having some slightly better days volume wise. | agnabeya
21/7/2015 13:46 | Hi Agna, Turning proof that you're sitting on an oil bearing formation into a sellable commdity is a pretty hard sell these days, you cant give away the idea of getting a worthwhile price for it and that's why oil companies don't explore any more. | the black spanner
21/7/2015 12:52 | Efagie....I 100% believe PMO will move to prosuction more quickly than that. I'd say before 2020. I honestly believe PMO are trying to plan to get things into place for before 2020. | agnabeya
21/7/2015 12:16 | If Humpy comes through, that would be a game changer. There is no doubt about it. It opens up a huge new oil province. Whether feasible now or 10 years from now is missing the point. Falklands will be firmly on the map of all the world's majors | tongosti
21/7/2015 11:02 | Agree agna, its too showing the oils presence. Its also looks closer to port stanley than sealion, its also noble and not pmo as operator, though water depth is a point. IF oils found and is good, likely to produce before sealions phase 1b, which is stated as 2024 with phase 2 said as 2026. Which is some 16 years since the casper south fields discovery. | efagie
21/7/2015 10:16 | Tbs....the value is showing oil is there in the Southern basin, surely? If succesful, it underpins what has been believed about the Falklands potential for many years. It's the reason FOGL was created in the first place. A good result could be of great value to the perception of Falkland's oil as a large province and would attract larger oil companies perhaps? If it's a duster, of course it won't be good, but at least we have further Isobel appraisals to come. If there is even a hint of oil in Humpback, it keeps the South Basin alive while we make our money on the North Basin finds for now. All value at the moment is in showing the presence of oil, IMHO. | agnabeya

21/7/2015 03:13 | I'm not a fan of this drill tbh. I don't see the value of success where exploitation is a distant dream at best. | the black spanner
