16/12/2003 09:40 | Hyper Al, yes but what are YOU doing about it, I still haven't taken up the offer and my broker keeps reminding me that I have until the 18th to take up their, SEY, offer! It's shares (3.5) completely, or shares (2.5) plus 10p cash. The latter looks better at the moment, but with todays news perhaps the first option is looking the way to go? Any thoughts out there? | rayrac
16/12/2003 08:14 | Todays News "Preliminary evaluation of wireline logs and pressure data acquired from the Tiof West step-out exploration well indicates a gas column of approximately 4 metres overlying a gross oil column of approximately 122 metres. Water bearing sands have been confirmed below the hydrocarbon bearing interval." What more can you ask for! | hyper al
16/12/2003 08:09 | Shame I don't have the cash for buying! | hyper al
16/12/2003 08:09 | Wake-up LOOK at the news! | hyper al
11/12/2003 20:58 | Kim I'm afraid there isn't much chat on the sey thread - last post on the 9th. Guess most people are watchng for the developments. | dunluce
10/12/2003 23:46 | I presume discussion is now moved to the SEY board?. | kim_clay
05/12/2003 11:21 | And as if that's not enough, they've just P&A'd a duster off Mauritania | thamestrader
05/12/2003 11:17 | Well what a terrible end for us fog shareholders a plungeing shareprice along with seys price on the retreat too jeezz! | rbonnier
05/12/2003 10:14 | So............ what happens next? I can hardly see anyone wanting to buy FOG shares Directors who may have borrowed heavily to pay for options etc may want to sell shares now to ease their debt......... seeing that SEY have won control | djalan
04/12/2003 22:37 | Oh well, the game is over, let the game begins.......who's got an eye on SEY? fb | flyingbull
04/12/2003 21:29 | We will miss you Kim . Investing is not for the timid ! You must treat your portfolio like a Husky Dog Team . If one dog don't pull its weight , feed it to the others. I have Energis shares ? I should know . All the best, gerry | gerry2
04/12/2003 20:07 | I strongly suspect a deal has been done...lets see who get SEY's banking, corporate and investment business in the near future...rights issues, almost a certainty.. you bet. I for one will be keeping track of the Fusion team..lets see where they end up next. Forward Plan for FOGSEY: Get an Atlas, Africa's the big one in the middle, down a bit, yes that it, I'm sure you'll be welcome!. Find a new farminee for Cameroon, the Woodside deal is now dead. Ideally before you have to renew the licence with a drilling commitment and bond. Deep water wells don't come cheap and I doubt you have the cash to post the funding commitment. If you can't find the cash/farminee then its relinquishment time! Wait for the royalty benefits from the 'poor deal' in Mauritania. (Their words not mine). Hope the Saharawi's like you as much as the FOG team and don't pull the deal. Hope Premier want to drill in Gabon. Hope you know what youv've just bought All the best, A soon to be ex investor. | kim_clay
04/12/2003 17:27 | To quote the late Terry Thomas " Hard Cheese " | gerry2
04/12/2003 17:16 | For a Sterling shareholder, make no mistake, this is a very good deal......Now work out what it is for an ex Fusion'er, one has to be on the losing end. It's not possible for us both to improve our situation. Sterling are delighted they have won, you bet they are! The prospects have improved for SEY shareholders and been diluted for Fusion's ex. | rayrac
04/12/2003 17:04 | Rayrac, Why are you so negative about this. Surely the combination of a steady income stream combined with exploration upside makes for a good investment. | dunluce
04/12/2003 15:11 | I don't think FOG's share price will go back to where it was before the SEY bid. A major change is that Tiof is now a significant discovery whereas before it was not even drilled. fb | flyingbull
04/12/2003 15:00 | If it falls I will fill my boots at 25p like everybody else then it will go back up. | rbonnier
04/12/2003 14:44 | surely a failed bid, with no other 'white knights' will see the price back to where it was before SEY's approach? The extra downside being SEY have a load of FOG shares they would no longer need. | currypasty
04/12/2003 14:41 | Looking Good Ladies & Gents I think the bid may have failed. | rbonnier |
