02/10/2003 18:23 | If SEY went down to 8p it would only be a temporary dip due to the present situation (I don't think it will drop much further). Whos to say that FOG is not only worth 28p a share, we all know that price is a fluid thing it only has a real value when you sell Price=assets+potenti Myself I am here for the medium /long term.I think that these companies have a great future together but FOG will get takenover by someone. If you are a short term investor you don't care who just how much. If you can afford to wait a bit longer the best growth buyer will be SEY. Again IMHO Derek | derek 1968
02/10/2003 16:34 | I'm with you guys, no way do I want SEY paper! I think there's an 'old boys' act here and they are trying to stitch us and FOG up! White night? I hope they bid against each other, otherwise they will have a go at stitching too! | rayrac
02/10/2003 16:19 | .....SEY price decline has obviously scared a few into selling FOG today though. | ilancas
02/10/2003 16:17 | doshea >> it was posted on this thread, already. RBonnier >> If SEY price declines, but FOG does not, it suggests the market does not think SEY will be successful. | ilancas
02/10/2003 16:10 | Article in the daily telegraph today saying rumoured that FOG is in talks with up to 6 other oil companies regarding white knight role - it may all still change yet ! | doshea
02/10/2003 15:58 | Also can we all keep a very close check on the sey shareprice if it starts falling off a cliff it could be time to run for the hills if a counter offer comes in thats too bad risk reward is 10p either way an even money chance. | rbonnier
02/10/2003 15:46 | SEY = 8P FOG =28P NO THANKS! | rbonnier
02/10/2003 15:33 | Good post DEREK . | gerry2
02/10/2003 14:24 | DEREK 1968 So if SEY drop back to 8 pence it's ok is it? That will value fog at 28p This t/over offer will cost both companies a lot of money in bankers & advisers fees djal | djalan
02/10/2003 14:07 | I can't beleive the negative approach to SEY I hold shares in both stocks and have for a while. FOG have great potential and linked with SEY production assests, building cash flow and great management team, I can't see the problem . People always feel negative towards takeover especially from a new company like SEY but FOG is a high risk share at best and SEY is money in the bank. SEY may drop back short term thats just uncertainty re the takeover but all price drops are a buying opportunity and SEY/FOG have a great future together embrace change and watch this share climb. All IMHO Derek | derek 1968
02/10/2003 10:56 | Agree with djalan and ilancas sey has had a great run and looks to retrace to around 8/9p no way am I holding that paper thats why we are seeing the sells beginning to appear,I say hold fog directors wont go down without a fight. I will sell as a last resort by that time though we will be looking at probably sey paper or 35ish on the bid when everyone else has bailed. | rbonnier
02/10/2003 10:45 | It's already on its way to 9.5p IMO. No way do I want to be holding SEY, but there may yet be a counter bid. | ilancas
02/10/2003 10:27 | RBonier So what price do you think SEY will be at month end? If the 15 & 50 moving average cross above the share price it could be a signal for SEY to retrace downwards to about 8pence dyor | djalan
02/10/2003 10:07 | This could all be done and dusted by the end of this month time running out for fog imo. | rbonnier
02/10/2003 09:32 | Extracts from Hardman update 2 October 2003 The Chinguetti 4-5 well is currently being completed for production across several high quality oil sand intersections of over 30 metres net thickness. The well will be flow tested after the sand control completion work is finished, hopefully by early next week corporatefile.com.au When do you expect to be able to declare that the Chinguetti Field is commercial? MD Ted Ellyard If the results from the production testing are positive, we expect the operator to be in a position to advise the joint venture and the Mauritanian Government that the Chinguetti Field is commercial in a few weeks time. If it all goes well, it'll take some weeks to fully evaluate the data but possibly we'll have the results by early November | djalan
02/10/2003 00:40 | Now we know that Invesco is one of the traitors. | ilancas
01/10/2003 10:33 | Justjus Fair enough, I agree with you If SEY get away with a share swap their price will probably drift downwards next year djal ps, has SEY share price topped out????.. I see Dandruff!! | djalan
01/10/2003 10:27 | djalan, yes I know, but if another offer doesn't come along, it re-affirms institutional support for SEY's 3.5 shares offer, which is not what we want! | justjus
01/10/2003 10:12 | jusjus Read the small print!!!!!!!!!! ""The undertaking will cease to apply if, prior to the Offer being declared unconditional as to acceptances, any third party shall announce a firm intention to make a higher offer"" | djalan
01/10/2003 10:06 | they've now got 30%... | justjus
30/9/2003 18:22 | Thanks justjus, I thought I had misread it, but you're right it was one share. Why/how/what? See they're preparing to test the Chinguetti well, which is no suprise, but nice anyway. There is always a small risk that appraisal (or even production) wells aren't worth testing based on drilling/logging info. | thamestrader
30/9/2003 13:46 | Kim, yep me too. I see the FOG price is slowly edging up on hardly any volume and HBOS have bought 1 share! | justjus
30/9/2003 13:18 | JustJus, I reckon that's now 41.125p, always assuming of course that when you want to actually realize this value in cash that most of the other holders of the 300,000,000+ new shares are not also trying to sell at the same time! I presume that the current holders of the close to half billion existing shares would be happy to hold (obviously some have no choice for the next 12 months do they Derek.) Kim | kim_clay
30/9/2003 11:36 | Stop selling you idiots! You're giving SEY these on the cheap. Hold on for at least 50p. | ilancas |
