25/9/2003 10:58 | MMs offering mid price (37.75) on the bid, up to 30k online and 37.85 on the offer up to 50k... | justjus
25/9/2003 10:53 | If FOG get a better offer, those 20% committed to them will change their mind It will only be a conditional acceptance They only have the 20% firm that belonged to WTE Hold!!!!!! Wait!!!!!!!!!! Hope!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! djal | djalan
25/9/2003 10:09 | LONDON (AFX) - Fusion Oil & Gas PLC said it has rejected Sterling Energy PLC's "unsolicited offer" on the grounds that it significantly undervalued the company. Earlier, Sterling offered 3.5 new shares for each of Fusion Oil & Gas PLC share, valuing the company at 39.5 mln stg or 40.25 pence per share. Fusion shareholders may also elect to receive some of their consideration in cash. For every Fusion share, they can get 10 pence in cash and 2.5 new Sterling shares. Fusion said it is meeting with its advisers, Canaccord Capital (Europe), this morning to consider its response to the offer and will issue a statement following that meeting. In the meantime it asked shareholders to take no action. newsdesk@afxnews.com | djalan
25/9/2003 10:05 | We can only hope for a better offer The extra 20% or so they have on promise will of course be subject to other offers, they will have the chance to change their minds Wait to see what the board of FOG have to say SEY shares have had a good run & they are trying to take FOG out on the cheap djal | djalan

25/9/2003 09:56 | I don't think the market thinks SEY's share price will hold up either, or FOG would be 40p. | ilancas
25/9/2003 09:52 | SEY don't get my vote - I hope they're unable to pull it off. Afraid of downside on their current 11p share price. Bantam175 - SEY will raise cash through new shareplacing (I think I'm correct in stating that the latter will likely dilute the shareprice). | dalgaard
25/9/2003 09:37 | Correct ilancas the major shareholders have accepted we will have to wait and see what fog says. Not a lot they can do and a counterbidder would have to pay 50p a share hmmm its not looking good. | rbonnier
25/9/2003 09:31 | A counter offer maybe the best we can hope for. SEY won't be bluffing. If they way they've got commitments from shareholders it means the institutional holders are prepared to accept their offer. | ilancas
25/9/2003 09:15 | what are the chances of a counter-offer now the SEY offer is out in the open? | justjus
25/9/2003 09:14 | Drat just seen the latest news sey own 41% of fog as ilancas has just said. This is bad news for long term holders of fog in at a higher price as imo sey shares look expensive at 11p. | rbonnier
25/9/2003 09:02 | Also, do they have £4,000,000 sitting around in cash to pick up that 10%? Assuming a price of around 38-40p | bantam175
25/9/2003 08:56 | sey 1 fog 0 | trash_it
25/9/2003 08:54 | I'd like to know where they got letters of acceptance from shareholders seeing as we have not been approached? Sounds like a bluff. I would want see proof of that and some details. Anyone know of any institutions that have done a deal with them? Bant | bantam175
25/9/2003 08:50 | The trouble is, SEY already have effective control over 41% of FOG. If they can pick up another 10% in the market, they'll have won. | ilancas
25/9/2003 08:25 | agree with you guys - up theirs! | eurofox
25/9/2003 08:18 | Awaiting the response from FOG now. Should be interesting. Watch this space. | bantam175
25/9/2003 08:18 | Forget that for a game of soldiers! | rbonnier
25/9/2003 08:12 | Not good enough, is it! | ilancas
25/9/2003 08:11 | SEY can shove their offer where the sun don't shine. IMHO of course LOL Bant | bantam175

24/9/2003 14:02 | Cant see Sterling getting FOG for 40p the board may put an offer to the shareholders for 50p otherwise its all going to get nasty in the boardroom. | rbonnier |
