Could be for shares? That I'm not to keen on, in fact I can't see ANY advantage to we shareholders. Other than of course, it could bring in larger fish?!!

Have had fog on my monitor since the day they floated, have been in and out, but this time was awaiting news on the Jack Ryan drillling report, have all my wedge tied up in AHT until 22nd Sept, thought i had time to trade in and out, but alas.

The Board of Sterling has noted today's press comment speculating on the
possibility of an offer being made for Fusion Oil & Gas PLC ("Fusion").


The Board of Sterling confirms that it has made an approach to the Board of
Fusion, which may or may not lead to an offer from Sterling for the entire
issued share capital of Fusion.


A further announcement will be made in due course.

James the 250k was a MM swap, an extremely positive trade, due to the size and the obvious shortage of stock.

Fusion held a 6% interest in Chinguetti, bit i'm not sure of the position now from this old RNS i dug up,

"In Mauritania, Premier will buy Fusion's 6 pct interest in PSC B, containing
the Chinguetti find, and 3 pct interest in PSC A, containing the Banda
discovery, for 10 mln usd in cash and a royalty payment for every barrel of oil
produced.
At an average oil sales price of 22-25 usd a barrel, the Chinguetti field is
expected to generate about 13 mln usd in royalty revenue during the field's
lifetime, Fusion said based on recoverable reserves of 142 mln barrels of which
Fusion's share would be 8.5 mln."
