No sensible debate considering all viewpoints.

One thing driving me nuts is the current talk about taking in huge numbers of Ukrainian refugees.
Not one politician has the courage to raise any objections. They are falling over themselves to accept hundreds of thousands.

We took in loads from Hong Kong and offer a taxi service for those immigrants crossing the Channel.

Not a single dissenting voice, no debate.

The shares haven't been seized. They've been suspended. You simply can't trade them until further notice. Your share of the asset is exactly the same and the business can continue to run in the same way. Your concern should be whether Russia confiscate the Russian assets.

The question here is not about the rights and wrongs of the conflict in ukraine or about chelsea fc,its about a uk goverment using flimsy evidence to try and destroy a uk listed company.I am sure evraz steel might have been used in various parts of various machines but do we now seize caterpillar because the bulldozers they made were used against the palestinians?The actions of the uk goverment have made the LSE a pariah exchange

Glad to see the company respond so swiftly to the allegations made against it.Either the UK government provide proof of what they've done which is unlawful, otherwise let's take them to court for defamation.Sanctioning a shareholder is not reason enough to delist a company, one that employs thousands of people in Canada and elsewhere and abides by the rules of it's UK listing.Personally I think what the UK government is doing is despicable.

I think the issue is whether Abramovich has effective control.
The news release at about 4 o'clock explains that he does not.

He does have total 100% control at Chelsea.

At the risk of being a hypocrite, Abramovich must help to secure business for railways lines and other finished products from the Russian government.

There are many thousands of miles of rail track in Russia, it is a vast country.
St.Petrsberg to Vladivostok is 5000 miles.
Big business.

A few new railway routes to China and India would be massive business.
Hardly HS2, the expensive line through our tiny country.
If things went well and this Ukraine mess could be sorted, this share could be a multi bagger.
very high risk very high reward.

Buy the stake? And pay whom for it?

The problem is Abramovich has been sanctioned but his assets have not been seized. They still belong to him. (This might change later).

I doubt the suspension could be lifted till the stock exchange guarantees that any sanctioned individuals can be prevented from trading.

RNS lays out the limitations of R.A's ownership.
He does not have influence on many decisions at 28% ownership.

A well written document.
Maybe we can become re listed quickly.

They deny they provide the sort of steel for tank manufacture.
They produce 'long steel' for infrastructure.

R.A. has 100% ownership and control of Chelsea. A different situation.

Excellent rns, the UK government should request all shareholders that
are sanctioned ring fence their stake and allow everything
else to continue.
