""with the support of the stakeholders, it is our intention to
allow the Company to continue operating to support its customer base, while we
seek a purchaser. A number of parties have already expressed interest with whom
we have commenced discussions."

Timing is everything and I have thought from time to time that it was cheap but was never convinced enough. But thought it was still worth watching. In the end all I can say.........lucky wasn't I? Sometimes being a bit cynical helps......sometimes you miss opportunities......

I think our investing Institutions which by and large use the Publics money
really need a shakeup.
They do not ask the right questions and almost never look at the companies
they've invested in after parting with our money.
This is by no means the only disaster that is happening.
Quarterly accounting for companies with £100m+ mkt caps would be a big start.

Because I'm an active investor who's interested in special situations and this one had been quite intriguing............

Why should I be asking permission....do you prefer secret societies or something? because you may be better off dressing up and rolling your trouser leg.........

Just re-visited how much money has been lost here.

From memory Market cap before rights issue was £47m, and £39m was raised in Feb 2004.

A loss of £86m in less than 18 months. £4.8 million a month.

Eaglet must have lost about 18% of this - a cool £17million. What's happened to them today I wonder

The plan accompanying the finance raising would make interesting reading.........must have been way off for a long time but just hoping for a sale.

Someone will be in the firing line....... at the institutions ...didn't the FD get out some months ago........always a bad sign.............pity the new one

Is this finally a good time to buy? Well, it depends. First check what happened at after hours trading and future values. Then, follow the next session very carefully and be on your toes. This candlestick pattern is a bullish one, but we have to see whether it will be confirmed or not.

Do you see a gap-up at the market open? Do you see a white candlestick forming with a higher close at the session's end? Shortly, is it a nice bullish day? If so, place your buy orders and open new long positions. The market is now on the bull side.

But, be careful, also. If you see a gap-down when the market opens, or if the session closes with a bearish sentiment producing a black candlestick characterized by a lower close, do not challenge the market. Ignore the BUY-IF alert. Cancel the buy orders and cover any new long positions that you might have opened. Bears are still in control.

.........

Still watching for that "gap up" myself.

Feeling cooler guys....have also written em off mentally; but keeping my fingers crossed behind my back for something to turn up beneficially - based on logic and previous statements. I find it hard to think this has gone totally pear shaped since it defeats all logic....only one way to go now for me - up! ( Its not the first time Ive mentally written off ELH only to be pleasantly confounded later on ! ) Look for press comment over the w/end and keep them thar fingers crossed!

Hmm it would seem that Eaglet is not the sharpest tool in the box, I seem to remember that they held a big stake in both ELH and also PRSC which announced a couple of months ago that it was to delist, effectively wiping out shareholders.
I guess if you wanted an idea of stocks to short then looking at eaglet's holdings would be a good place to start.

Farsight..... Cedar was my first loss and so a shock.
It doesn't take long to realise that even the very clever investors
accept the inevitability of taking hits on bombing shares, every now
and again, that balance out the winners.
This one looks grim at the minute, though still amazed at the lack of
any fresh statements. Even a holding press release would a civil way of
conducting things with the weekend coming up.

Sorry, I don't know dyfiman. I get the odd letter from Barclays' Stockbrokers mentioning my holding. And I'm happy to keep it that way as a reminder.

ed3, told my wife straight away, and then turned to drink. Mammoth hangover this morning and frosty reception. Not good, but she's just rung me, and almost sounds civil. Go for it... the longer you leave it, the worse it'll be.
