Dyfiman/MACH?O!

Sorry you feel like this.

Let me say once again BB's are for gaining knowledge from the free flow of information, and without different views this would not be the case. Surely not in the interests of everyone to banish the contrary view.

Whilst you obviously didn't like my views they happened to be nearer the mark than yours. This will not always be the case and why it is worth for all of us being more tolerant andconsidering the alternative view. It is not a case for attempting to ban views except those that conform with your own.

I had a genuine interest in this company and am a genuine investor in small companies.

Hope to meet you all on better days and on better investments.

Lottie.... I think I explained to you a while back what a board TROLL is.
I'd be amazed if you have any interest in ELH and, without such an interest, you can only be indulging in the usual ghoulish behaviour associated with board trolls. Do the decent thing and get your rocks off elsewhere.

Dyfiman MACH?O!

My comments though not to your liking were hardly of the nature you describe. Hardly hindsight being for some time and before the end result.

Surprised that you should be quite so bitter. After all this these boards are by their nature an exchange of different views. This is their benefit isn't it?

If you can't invest without getting quite so worked up when things go your way perhaps you should take the advice of momentos.

For all your information just because I didn't like this one it doesn't follow that I'm risk averse or need to be guided towards B/soc accounts etc.

Always done well out of big stakes in smaller companies and private equity. Just didn't like this one at all, and couldn't understand the enthusiasm.

Dyfiman your supposition on the results of my investing is the more accurate of your assertions.

Doesn't look too good lads does it, should have taken the 100% profit when I had the chance, doh!

Anyway, is it possible the deal was pulled because the financiers decided to reduce facilities and the purchaser couldn't cope without sufficient finance.

If, and it's a big un, elh can find financial backing elsewhere, the deal may again be back on, or someone else who doesn't need the backing may step in, admittedly at a reduced offer, and things will carry on.

We have no real knowledge of the why's and wayfores yet, just a statement from someone called Financial Dynamics (any one come across these lot before), who presumably is acting as third party for elh or is just putting the statement out for the fsa.

If Burdale had to adjust their lending facilities, for any reason pertaining to them, then elh may have had to declare the offer talks were over, until finances were rearanged.

All in all, not quite over yet, and a little more faith in your white knight may save a lot of tears.

AIMHO and good luck us all

J

Morning guys....I wont say "good"! what a shock after all the recent hype and non statememnts from the company...Can only say that, as is the case with others, its likely to have lost me a small fortune, BUT the show aint over till she stops singing - and that aint so yet, so keep your fingers crossed and something might yet be salvaged. ( why suspend at a recent "high" share price price of .105? )If not, then it looks as if the details released recently by the company have been economical with the truth at best!
My personal losses are high but i feel for Chian and Ed W and others even more...but dont give up yet guys.

Really very sorry to hear of everyone's probable loss. I am surprised the lead financier has withdrawn support so quickly. Looks like the 'cash is tight' statement had more meaning than even I thought.

Ed ... I fully understand your feelings. I have lost a fair bit on eurodis over the years but never enough to make me want to give up investing. Give it a few weeks/months and see how you feel. If you still feel it's not for you then it is probably best you invest in a tracker or something. However, like all of us, you will have learnt a hell of a lot by this and later on you may decide to use that experience.

My 'turning point' came in summer 2004 when, after an excellent run of 16 months or so, I made a few substantial losses. I realised my excellent run wasn't down to me but rather to a rising market after the Gulf war. So I had a hard look at my investing method, realised I didn't have one, and tried to formulate one. I decided my reason for investing was to build up a pension for old age and to do this I had to reduce risk by coming up with certain criteria in the companies I bought and held. As a result of this I sold my main holding in eurodis (though I did trade a small amount over the next months) as well as a couple of others.

Anyhow, all the best and see how you feel in a few weeks.

Anyone fancy a short?

BUR is a sell now. Whether or not it has peaked or is due a correction. It's still a sell. The classic bearish "1,2,3, top" formation has ONLY JUST BEEN FORMED. It's a fair bet IMO. I'm only looking to grab 5% out of it, but might let some run if it looks like it may fall further.

Watch it get shorted aggresively on Monday after all the newspapers call it and the retail investors carry out their weekend research!

Lottie.... thanks for your invaluable input. No doubt your are head of
a vast, hugely successful, investing entity with millions in your
personal bank accounts and majestic properties "dotted" across the globe. Please help us, oh Guru!!
In reality, your contribution above truly comes from the cardboard,
park-bench, full-of-hindsight school of equity investment. No need for
the tone of your comments and you should be ashamed of yourself.

nl as with all shares its risk v reward. You take you pick, this I hold as part of a portfolio - it is the most risky and weighted accordingly.

If you disagree with this type of investment, stick to the FTSE 100, probably safer for you. Or perhaps a high interest account.

All investments are risks, even Compass, Shell and the like have shed 25% plus out of the blue in the last couple of years. We all take our choices based on the risks we are willing to take.

I've been trying to understand this one for a while, mostly when being put down by you lot.

Much worse than Olivers - would have been better bust and saving the rights money - this one looked like blind faith and speculation..........at best just a punt.

got an autoreply - she is out of the office, anyone want to pick up the phone?

'I shall be away from the office from 15th July to 29th inclusive, and back on Monday 1st August.

Should your message require urgent attention, please call the Burdale switchboard on +44 (0)20 7935 1115. Otherwise, I'll respond as soon as I can when I return.'

Facilities secured against stock and receivables

The Group's main provider of facilities secured against receivables and stock is
currently NMB Heller. Under the existing facility agreements, it advances monies
secured on, inter alia, amounts due from the Group's customers in the UK,
Benelux and Germany and on the Group's stock, held centrally in the Netherlands.

As part of the re-financing of the Group, it is proposed that the Group's
current facilities provided by NMB Heller will be terminated. A new facility, to
be provided by Burdale pursuant to the Burdale Facility Agreement, will replace
the facilities from NMB Heller secured against UK and Benelux receivables and
against the Group's stock. A new facility, to be provided by Lloyds TSB pursuant
to the Lloyds TSB Facility Agreement, will replace the NMB Heller facility
secured against the German receivables. The change in facility providers is
expected to result in an increase in facilities of approximately €11 million
available to the Group.

Fusebox, pease take your EKT ramps elsewhere.

FT Today

Shares in Eurodis Electron were suspended at 1.05p after the electrical components group said a cut in support from a lender, understood to be Burdale, made its ongoing business "unsustainable". This came after merger talks with an unnamed party ended.

Fusebox....... thank you for the tip. Can I say that I for one do
not need to hear it twenty times and more - so can you please pack it in?
Not the time for such behaviour and people can read your comments just as well on the appropriate board for them.
Thanks, in anticipation.
