19/5/2023 13:32 | Yeah, very obvious! I'd bet good money that they have "suspended" mining operations at WK for this year and "forgotten" to inform the market. What other choice do they have? No revenue and a constant need for evermore working capital and no possibility to transfer money from the parent company to the Russian subsidiary and no money anyway!!! In other news, the Duma is passing a law to make "Russophobia" illegal and punishable for up to 5 years in the gulag. So anybody who has ever posted almost anything on this thread might want to rethink their travel plans if they include Russia. Remember, once you're at the border you'll be asked for your passwords to check your social media. SO it'll be too late to press delete then. | tigerbythetail
19/5/2023 12:10 | If the company only have c £3m cash left (and that's being generous!) at the moment they simply can't afford to mine WK. It's a perpetual money pit for EUA and they can't sell the metals in any case! It's remarkable how this just seems to go over the head of so many that still "believe" in EUA. I posted the same on LSE and not ONE comment regarding these financials. It's also pretty ridiculous the company does not make these accounts available through RNS as it's EUA's only productive subsidiary. Or maybe the reason they don't is obvious! | broxburn68
19/5/2023 10:11 | Any sensible company would walk away and let WK go bankrupt at this point. I wonder how many of its liabilities (the leasing contracts and remediation) are tied to EUA (the parent company)? It would be ideal, of course, to find a buyer who would be willing to take on those obligations to allow a clean exit. But that buyer isn't going to pay more that $1 for WK. And probably doesn't exist. I'm waiting to see how the rampers can spin this news into something positive! It's going to take some powers of imagination! | tigerbythetail
18/5/2023 22:58 | The AIM is full of these type of companies how many more billions have people had liquidated on the AIM casino | bspgamer
18/5/2023 22:57 | Many are already sitting on multiple losses, market cal of 1.3 billion to 60 million. I make that 1.24 billion of losses out there. Hands up who's sinking ? | bspgamer

18/5/2023 18:53 | Well, here are the audited financial results (in roubles) for JSC Kosvinsky Kamen (West Kytlim) for the YE 31.12.2022, according to this link. It looks like EUA have spent around £10m on loans to KK in the financial year according to the cash flow statement. P&L makes little sense as it's not clear what the "other income" and "other expenses" are. Are sales really only £530 for the year? Stock sits at c. £6.4m which at least is reasonably consistent with EUA comms. It also looks like FA expenditure is around £3.4m (dragline, etc). Further analysis most welcome. www.audit-it.ru/buh_ | broxburn68

15/5/2023 16:52 | Marketcap here - even after today's slide - still £75m. I realise it's come down from £1bn (WTF!!!) But £75m is still way too high for this crud. WK is a minuscule permanently loss-making operation, the Kola assets are objectively worthless and they have failed to find a buyer despite being on sale since 2016, and the company is low on cash. Maybe 0.5p per share would be a fair price. Maybe an outright 0p. If peeps want to bet on the war ending soon, then surely big Ukrainian iron-ore producer FXPO (Ferrexpo) is the way to go? It would likely double or triple in price on the news. And even now it is making some money, even in the middle of this terrible war. | tigerbythetail
15/5/2023 16:32 | More likely multiple losses | wj12

15/5/2023 09:45 | Stresses building up inside the Putin regime in Russia. Here's KGB/FSB mouthpiece (and war criminal) Girkin / Strelkov's analysis of the current situation re: Prigozhin and Shoigu. If he's right (and he's an intelligent man, for all that) then we can't be too far away from some kind of an internal coup. twitter.com/Gerashch N.b. His remarks contain the usual Russian anti-semitism. It goes with the territory, I'm afraid. | tigerbythetail
14/5/2023 15:03 | TBTT. 100% correct. There is no way the counter offensive would be a success if the Russian airforce could stand off beyond short range snti aircraft systems and pummel Ukrainian logistics so that they starve of fuel and support. So instead of F16s they have beyond the horizon fire and forget air to air missiles. This way the umbrella over the attacking Ukrainians is maintained. | purchaseatthetop |
