07/10/2019 09:35 | CC, The problem with 'trial production' is that we had two years of no real progress at WK that were described as trail production, and that is largely the reason we have nearly 2.5BN shares in issue. Hopefully the start up at Monchetundra will be better controlled. | mostyn
07/10/2019 09:32 | I think it was a reference to the first test of many at MT to explore where the plant is going to be. | driver101
07/10/2019 09:26 | mostyn - The house broker and the company disagree on the date for full production. Optiva says 2021 and the company' gantt chart gives Q3 2020 which I find incredibly optimistic given the apparent lack of progress this year. I do not doubt there will be some output in 2020 but it will most likely only be trial production. | charles clore
07/10/2019 09:10 | KAV SP Angel . Morning View . Kavango Resources (KAV LN) 2.0p, Mkt Cap £3.1m – Kavango selects new targets for 1,000m drill campaign Kavango Resources has signed a contract mobilising a number of drill rigs to test targets in Botswana. The drill program is for three vertical holes covering 1,000m on the Kalahari Suture Zone ‘KSZ’ The team plan to intersect conductor targets at depths of between 200m and 400m. To save time and cost, the holes will be pre-collared to approximately 150m with reverse circulation drilling followed by diamond core drilling for better information on the geology below this point. Management are hoping to find mineralisation in a 10km x 6km magnetic anomaly, which is interpreted as a potential magma chamber. The other two targets relate to significant linear magnetic and conductive structures. Water will be trucked in from a local town. Conclusion: Botswana hides many interesting mineral discoveries under a significant depth of Kalahari desert sand. Kavango hopes the use of modern remote sensing techniques will help it pinpoint mineralisation in anomalies of significant scale under the sand. While drilling these targets feels a bit like wildcatting in the oil industry investors can rest assured that target generation is supported by a thorough analysis of the latest data. | cpap man
07/10/2019 09:10 | CC, "Unless a major steps in I don't think we will be seeing any production from MT until 2021." If that was the case the company should update the market, as their currently published presentation shows Q3 2020. | mostyn
07/10/2019 08:42 | Will - I think Alexei was referring to the pinhole! Unless a major steps in I don't think we will be seeing any production from MT until 2021 | charles clore

07/10/2019 07:55 | DS in a recent interview said very enthusiastically that they'll be producing by the end of next year ! Can't see it myself | pennstreet
07/10/2019 05:34 | We raised £500,000 several months ago, and part of that was to pay for MT development, and for wk too. At that point they predicted 100kg at WK with the pt price a lot lower, so CS may have been prudent enough with his calculations and expectations. Remember at ths Dublin presentation CS stated we may take 100% control, and billionaire paddy was disappointed when that didn't happen straight away. I think we operated WK using contractors until we had enough cash to get our own plant in, and now we have. Info isn't clear, we only see glimpses, bur I think all will eventually be good. Last year revenues of £2.57m with just 35% coming our way, and another similar sum this year will be lovely. We can't draw down Sinosteel cash until all the paperwork is in place and verified by ths bean counters, but we can submit our work later this month to start that ball rolling. I expect digging to begin next spring, with maybe trial mining on a small scale by next October, with full ramp up in spring 2021. | excellance
07/10/2019 04:14 | Exc Have you asked CS whether he believes that MT will come to production? By know they may know?? Market seems to ignore MT, it values it at zero, why? At this stage I tend agree with you , MT seems to be delayed (did pre stripping of overburden suppose to start on the second term as Snowy suggested?) ; and most probably we will need to raise new cash as WK production is so far very poor this year and we bought some plant, all because a false positive ???. No good, but that is life, the struggle continues till hopefully better days, frustrating to say the least. It would be great if they sell a part of MT at much higher share price price to cover our needs, that may be why Eua invited Lesego to check things out? If we sell below market price that would say it all , it is not worth more at this stage. That would say something about the quality / risks of our deposits GLA | book5
06/10/2019 23:50 | That's one of the reasons I deleted twitter, to try and stick to the facts. It's also why I occasionally email CS for clarification. Objectivity! The facts are all there, and we know the stated time lines, but we don't know enough of the details, so we must be cautious in our optimism. I think we are still struggling financially, and we will need more time or more cash, but I think Sinosteel will not walk away, but will extend if required. It isn't a question of if, but when MT gets developed, and it could be bought for cash at any time. | excellance
06/10/2019 23:23 | i'm conscious of confimration bias. We all live in bubbles we create, for example, party political, westminster, BBC, bulletin boards like this one. It's all to easy to get sucked into the hype, even your own and make poor investing decisions. | ekuuleus
06/10/2019 22:09 | Guys have a look to CS interview of the 14th of August . He was very vague about the production starting date at MT He did not know WK contractor was leaving in September | book5
06/10/2019 16:34 | Spoke to CS a while back about whether the high pd price makes our old volchatundra license, which yielded higher pd grades than MT, viable by today's metrics? He said the problem with VT was continuity. So, no problem with continuity at our other assets then presumably... This is now becoming increasingly clear, and we will get confirmation in due course. | excellance
06/10/2019 16:22 | On a positive note, Christmas is imminent, and will be here in the nearest future.
