Ek - sorry, I haven't been keeping up. What African deal is this?

Kind of agree abrahe. I don't think the market will tolerate this company asking for more money. It's had 22 years to try and make a profit. If it can't do it now it may as well be shot.

The african deal is equally bad. It either massively dilutes the opportunity here limiting upside, or it confirms this is a dead donkey.

@tcm, re: 24519... I just don't see SS handing over a cheque for $24m to a company with half the market cap. Life just isn't like that and it's naive to think that the market is simply "asleep" on this.

The payments will be staged over several milestones. The issue is that we have not been told what these milestones are or how the payments have been structured.

"so eurasia get a bung of $26m"
So what would that do to the share price if the Current market cap £12 million - Triple it?

the reason we get $50m and not merely the amount of our equity stake is to compensate eurasia for the years of work already done from the debt of the new MT mining company being set up.

so eurasia get a bung of $26m but must complete all outstanding aspects.

a new company is set up which eurasia own 15% of the equity but with no further financial commitment. i could be wrong about how much MT equity eurasia come out with. MT mining company intend to be producing at least on a trial basis by the end of next year. personally i think that full production wont be seen until end of 2021, but that is a great result for us.

that is my understanding anyway.

I wish for 10p
But I very much doubt it as this is AIM where PI's are usually stitched up.
I don't think that know of an AIM success story, but plenty of disaster's :-(

Ab00, I should think the balance of $24,000,000 will be paid on completion of the groundworks. This arrangement ticks the boxes for SS loan requirements, and enables it to do a deal with a minnow that after 2 years’ due diligence, it satisfied its executive was worth bending over backwards for. It knew and knows Monchetundra is a huge and precious resource. Time will tell I guess as to which set of inferences is correct.

They'll only get paid if they've done the work! I've pointed this out before... CS says they are still 6-8 months away from finishing...

To remind folk. The EUA RNS of 10th October 2016 stated:
“Sinosteel's contract is based on a 2 year due diligence and evaluation of the Monchetundra project. The principal terms of the financing are:

· The contract value totals US$176,000,000 with the loan covering 85% of the contract value.

· Within the contract, a subcontract for $50,000,000 million is assigned to TGK to cover all preparatory engineering and pre-strip works on the two open pit deposits. TGK expects that this subcontract will be sufficient to meet the 15% equity contribution required for the project.

· Sinosteel will be responsible for the debt finance of $149,600,000 (i.e. 85% of the contract value) with the financing terms included in the EPC contract as a 10-year loan with early repayment permitted, at an indicative interest floating rate at 6 month LIBOR plus 3.5%.

· Sinosteel will carry the loan on its balance sheet with its rights and obligations under the financing and the loan will only be assigned to TGK following completion of the EPC contract, subject to key performance indicators to be achieved by the plant commissioned by Sinosteel.

· The contract is exclusive to Sinosteel for a period of ten years.

· The contract provides for a schedule of payments commencing within 36 months. This period is to allow for the obligatory steps within the Russian mine permitting system.”

Note payments from the $50,000,000, to start “within 36 months” ie next month. This gives some context for the most recent RNS that explains / reminds us of the $26m ‘contribution’ Sinosteel is giving EAU to cover the 15% of the overall loan. So, this suggests EUA will be confirming Sinosteel’s payment within the next three weeks.... or perhaps we’ll get bought out before the contract ‘crosses the Rubicon’.

By the way, on 10th October, 2016, Palladium was $21,444 a kilo. It is currently $53,257 a kilo. I wonder what it will be by mid-October....2020?
