14 year (intra-day) low of 143.60 on Tuesday, with a closing low of 147p on Monday & very large volumes yesterday & today. Has busthief2 called the bottom? Have the BoD sucked up their share options? Are Peel Hunt going to splash the Essentra cash? I'm going positive! The only way is UP! Ha! I hope! Good luck all. vp

Hopefully now Peel Hunt can up their game and get the buyback done, only half the money spent and nearly into September! Plus the half yearreport was good with profits up!

All, if as today at at 1500 there has been 170,000 shares traded. Even if only half are sells, why are Peel Hunt not buying 80,000 a day even at 152p.???? They should be buying at least 100,000 shares a day or be replaced by HL or another broker to buy shares for Essentra!! Or give another special divi of 7p a share in September to get rid of the 30 million still not spent on buyback????
The CEOand board at best are inept!!!

Essentra plc issued Interims for the half year ended 30th June 2023 this morning with H1 performance roughly in line with expectations. Revenue dipped 5.5% to £166.3m while adjusted operating profit increased to £23.0m. Statutory EPS moved back into positive territory at 2.6p. The balance sheet also strengthened considerably with net debt down to £8.3m from £309.9m a year earlier. Valuation is a little unhelpful with forward PE ratio at 13.1x in the 3rd quartile for the Chemicals sector. The share price also remains in a longer run correction and lacks positive momentum. ESNT is a share to monitor for the time being...

Bought a very small amount. Arguably the divi should have been slashed when PF
took the reigns a few years back as I mentioned at the time and the decision
to become a pure play components business made during the early part of his tenure.
But we are where we are etc.

Terrible few years here, hopefully the outlook a bit brighter, let's see, eh.

Good luck philanderer try out ORCH, plus BBB. Plus STAF and GKP are picking up!! I think it will be next divi and maybe November before ESNT are sorted or Peel Hunt pull their finger out and buy 100,000 shares per day!

Why are PeelHunt not sacked.!! They only bought 25,000 shares out of 400,000 sold on Wednesday??? They are useless at buying 100,000 shares per day, even. She over 1 million are bought and sold in certain days, plus at least half are sales?. The share price should and would be going up if Peel Hunt bought there mandated £60 millions worth?? It will be divi time again before they even spend £40 million and buy enough shares to get share price up to £2????????

If the share price is going down and today there has been traded over 100,000 shares , if 75,000 of these are sells, why aren’t Peel Hunt buying more than the measly 58,000 shares a day? Last week over 1 million traded one day and still Peel Hunt trickle buy 60,000 shares per day!! It will be January before the 60 million pounds is spent? Maybe this is what ESNT board want to buy cheaper and cheaper buybacks? That way the special divi cost them nothing??
Come on CEO and BoD give us some good news??

Probably all on holiday till end of September, summer sell off still happening. If the sell off keep continuing at the rate it is going, could Essentra's share price go under £1.50, hope not!

Peel Hunt should be sacked!! Why no share buybacks currently? Xplain BoD at ESNT????
Plus why if people or MM’s are selling upwards if 400,000 shares per day and dragging price down why are Peel Hunt not buying everything????

Essentra are probably waiting for the share price to drop a lot more before they buy anymore of their own shares. Might be best to sell up and buy in later in the year.

The BoD should explain the lack ofPeel Hunt buying shares and the facts they have only spent £10 million of the £60 million allocated to buybacks!!! Either do another divi or explain!! The share price should be going up by at least 1p /week ifshares are bought,evenifbtheyhaveto pay2-3p over buy price!
Explain ESNT board!! AndPeel Huntwhoare useless!
