"-- Strong trading momentum in the UK&I has continued with revenues ahead of board expectations at +46% forJuly and August against 2019 pre-Covid equivalents

-- Group revenues in July and August increased 1% year-on-year against very strong comparatives and grew 26%on 2019 pre-Covid equivalents"

The implication of these, surely, is that France has been a car crash in July and August, in spite of "the launch of the new marketing campaign - 'La vie en jaune', which commenced in May"?

Still have grave concerns about the cash situation here, higher input prices and lack of oversea based components as mentioned will have to be accounted for going forward.

Another significant competitor entering the arena is now supermarkets who have significant cash and offer massive discounts on these type of products. See link below

Be careful.

Eve mattresses are made in the UK and Belgium, but presumably from components that are mostly imported.

IKEA article in the BBC today. Shortage specifically of mattresses. Due to logistics issues. Can imagine as these are very bulky items. But maybe Eve has an advantage, as their foam mattresses come compressed and in a small package, compared to normal spring mattresses? Where do they source their mattresses from? China?

Something is clearly not right here, heavy selling has persisted all week, my guess is that they will have to soon issue a warning around supply chain, how many products are made in China, high cost of shipping containers and serious freight delays at ports will cause significant cost rises that will have to be absorbed or passed onto customer. This is not a good environment for eve to be operating in at this moment in time as we shall soon find out.

Taken from recent update:

"There may well be further disruption and inflationary pressures,
dependent on how the pandemic continues to affect global supply chains. "

Have dumped remaining holding in this in last few trading sessions. The supply chain issue is NOT just pandemic based and will adversely effect these types of businesses.
Lack of HGV drivers are causing serious problems now. Eve are far too reliant on French market, and lets face it France is in disarray as previous poster alluded to and unlikely to do UK any favours after brexit. Eve will have to take another cash burn hit I fear.
