If I remember (it was a long time ago), he paid 1p/share for about 1 million. Sounds like a good deal, but that money has been tied up now for no benefit. Also, at the time, nobody else wanted the shares. I wish people would stop banging on about SLG fraud - they did their best against a background of mismanagement/very dodgy dealings in the then EEL BoD. We can't blame them for our mistakes!
I would still like an update, if only to show that we are still registering on someone's radar.

I think something happened a good 10 years ago Satkauer1973 when MrK accepted a load of EEL shares.....

It was the biggest mistake he could have made and also the beginning of the EEL SLG end.

Exile, I'll introduce myself at the next meeting and then you might remember. In the meantime you might check out the spelling of millionaire which is why I am not sure if the attendee and the ADVFN poster are one and the same.

luckyswimmer.... you obviously didn't attend any of the meetings with Oando as ww2bam did, I was there. However I did wonder about some of the others, I have stated before I thought they could have been actors. Of course it was all a game to pacify us and I don't know if any were paid to play their parts but what I do know is that Stacey Kievel now works for Anglo Swiss the company that was engaged to value our assets, no conflict of interest there I'm sure.

It's a pity a zoom conference can't be arranged for shareholders. Email addresses will be needed. Something needs to be done and the SLG need to help more.

Whowants2b, they are not mysterious people. If you had turned up to the meetings with Oando to help support the SLG you would know that. They made an effort to represent the minority shareholders interests to help keep us informed of any developments which is more than most shareholders did.

The sad fact is that now that Jaca 1 well seems not to have released results there is not much on the horizon. Block 5 or 12 Sao Tome might one day be of interest to a major but there are rich pickings off Namibia and South Africa at present which are focusing the attention of explorers. A Peak settlement may come out of the blue but the long delay suggests a scam has taken place and we are deliberately being kept out of the loop of any revenue. Blocks 323 and 321 were very valuable but Nigeria has been moving their tax goalposts so much that oil majors are reluctant to do business with them and so there isn't much chance of new investment. So not much to look forward to but there is always the remote possibility that a deal is struck somewhere so I'm not throwing my certificates away yet. I imagine if there is any news coming one day then MrK or another SLG representative will contact EEL minority shareholders directly but it would certainly be good to get an update.

JeanieHow are you the nice chap who used to take notes at the London EEL AGM's and post them on here, for all to read?

For me it is no longer about my lost EEL investment. I would just like to know "if" we were or still are being led up the garden path and have been scammed by those we (the genuine and original EEL SLG Members) trusted!

I wish we did Jeannie. 19k of my money disappeared without trace thanks to Oando etc.
I think Nick has died a while ago and he was the main man in SLG. Not much hope imo.

Is it the original Nick ..... who some of us met, or ????? with access to Mr K's ADVFN name?

Similar set up as the Romance dating scams, but then on ADVFN?

2023, another year gone and one begins to wonder what really is and has been going on with tons of moderated posts lately, but not one update or one serious reply to the many genuine EEL questions.......?

Yes, it's a mystery.Meanwhile MrK informs that L4 showing WINS have moved, so its orf to the races.Of course, the spectre of shorts having to close used as a reason to buy, because surely it will go up then. It's the rampers handbook to a tee. Page 48 ("burn shorters burn") and 41 ("it's those nasty MMs") currently in play.
