02/8/2022 14:40 | No matter what evidence you have, no matter how much time is spent gathering the said information with all the proof to back it up, The courts in England and America are against you. Our team have been there done that and failed a 10yr battle. IT REALLY IS POINTLESS, FORGET IT. | fatfish
02/8/2022 13:42 | toopoor14 Jul '22 - 15:08 - 67277 of 67509 Am not giving me my shares should least worth a £1m. we were conned by NIGERIAN FRAUDSTERS. I think there were a few Brits involved too. Rand family, Dimmock, some "Dame" or "lady" whatever, Faulkener maybe? Stace. And do people still have this blind faith and trust in MrK and spp? We were duped, plain and simple, blinded by greed to make fast easy buck, allowed ourselves to be scammed. That's it, you live and learn, or in my case nor, I keep making the same mistake. Sometimes you can fight back and do something. Perhaps we could have made a fight of it at EEL but you had Mrk, spp as the leading lights and I suppose the blind instinctively followed the light. And where did they end up? Still cling onto the false hope. What are we on now, 16 years? And people still think there is something. It's a bit cruel of the SLG to keep the deluded hanging on like this. Not just Nigerians, there is scum everywhere and some very nice Nigerians. | geordieduke2
02/8/2022 09:19 | Trp, you can certainly pick them Toopoor 👀👀 | d1nga
29/7/2022 11:20 | What were your motives when investing in EEL Beeks? Altruism? Of course I was greedy - like everyone on here. I thought (wrongly) that the risk of investing in Nigeria was outweighed by the potential. As I said, what I liked about EEL were the excellent series of structures on OPL 321 and to a lesser extent OML 122. The JDZ and STP EEZ were always a more speculative punt. Trying to analyse my thoughts from 14 or nearly 15 years ago is tricky but I did not expect that EEL would ever be the operator of the blocks, I expected the usual farming out to a large operator (Shell and ExxonMobil have huge developments nearby where existing infrastructure could be used) while retaining a carry. In Jaca-1 even GALP have retained Shell to provide the deep water expertise and GALP are a medium sized company with a lot of experience. Looking back I think we all were carried away by the potential, but now seem naive regarding Nigerian politics and corruption. The potential is still there, but I suspect Oando will try to squeeze us out before they are drilled. | quark3
28/7/2022 18:29 | Maybe that's what EEL have been doing? | beeks of arabia
28/7/2022 16:00 | Q3, Or.... They have made a strike and are keeping it quiet until they can maximise the opportunity it presents eg buy more acreage in the area. Ive heard it done before. ? | unabkxb
28/7/2022 04:14 | Quick question for Quark if I may.You are a geologist and obviously knowledgable and intelligent. However you then state that drilling such prospects is beyond a small company like Oando and by definition EEL however you still invested. You then state that this was a scam.Would you say your actions in investing in EEL against this backdrop was stupid, greedy, or something else? | beeks of arabia
28/7/2022 04:09 | So if there is no commercial oil, was anyone actually "ripped off"?One for MrK i reckon. Where IS MrK? | beeks of arabia
27/7/2022 13:03 | Peak owe us money as well. | toopoor
27/7/2022 12:40 | Forget about the duster. OPLs 321 and 323 are the jewels. They were the most sought after blocks in the world. | toopoor
27/7/2022 12:33 | Oh dear re potential well results. Toopoor what are your "thoughts"? | dunderheed
27/7/2022 03:05 | Looks like I spoke too soon - no announcement of success, but it is finished drilling: | quark3
26/7/2022 10:43 | exile those accounts are form 2020.. | toopoor
25/7/2022 23:38 | toopoor, I am sorry to say I had to filter you a few weeks ago. I feel your pain about your investment - we all do - but as you are probably aware by now, it is very likely gone. However, while there's life there's hope. I see there have not been any reports about Jaca-1 yet. It was spudded at the very beginning of May and was expected to take 60 days. We are now approaching 3 months, so they may have hit drilling problems. One thing is for sure, for those of us with long memories, they will not have been invaded by pirates and held hostage! Which I suspect was an early part of the scam. By the way, what keeps me here looking in occasionally, is my continuing conviction that the scam was not based on worthless prospects. I am a geologist, formerly working in W. Africa and I am as sure as it is possible to be based on the available data, that the prospects themselves are worth drilling. The scam was in using those prospects to line the pockets of the EEL board and hangers-on, and later Oando, by milking the large amount of capital raised, without the risks and expenses of a properly planned drilling campaign. The only way to prove up the prospects and realise the value is to drill them. The cost and expertise needed to do that in deep water are out of the range of most small companies and I include Oando in that description. Let's see what Shell find in STP. | quark3
