Point 1: Counting cars is not a very reliable method of calculating the number of occupants.

Point 2: The odour coming from a plastics factory is a more reliable indicator of the source than the amount of smoke produced...unless the place is burning down.

2J : If they need 35 workers per shift (105 in total plus another 40 for the weekend) to make 500 sheets per week off one line there would certainly be nothing to get excited about! If the line needs only 3 men and is working full time it shows they are in the process of proving it is viable, it might be.

BB having been in business for some 25 odd years and borrowed money like no tomorrow, I would agree, in part with what you are saying, usually I would ask for more so as to have plenty in reserve good old Midland/HSBC, only refused me once. The point I was making was what would they be doing with the extra 1 mill if the story were to be believed in the first place? Perhaps buying some shares? Just a thought nothing more.

As for the night watchman I am hardly excited about 3 cars in the car park, and would suggest that the smoke was the bacon sandwiches being made, and the steam was the tea brewing for the 35 odd workers, hopefully hard at work.

A bank gives you 3 million when you have gone with cap in hand and asked for 2 million, begs belief again.

Not necessarily. If a small company is desperate for cash, its management often tries to raise as little as possible in the (often mistaken) belief that that will be easier, and/or to minimise the amount of equity they have to give up. As an investor, it's often clear that the amount a company is trying to raise is inadequate for anything other than their short term needs, and you do one of a number of things e.g. Offer more; earmark funds for follow up investment; share the risk with another partner or turn them down. The last thing you want is for a company you're investing in to be under capitalised and run the risk of going broke.

I don't know the detail, but I would take this as a positive sign on the part of the lender.

Morning Hampster. Good to see that Luton's night life is still burgeoning ! Do you think this chap could be persuaded to inspect the level of cleanliness of the staff toilets, or do you think the excitement would prove too much for him ?

The Times report, the content of it, is probably worldwide known by now.
I would suspect that the authorities have blocked any RNS from ENRT. For the time being at least, and or the report is hot air!!

The leak imo was reckless nonetheless (journalism at its worst imo) and as such should be investigated by ENRT and higher authority, the question I would ask, whoever wrote the report; did they buy shares in advance? Amongst other questions, I don't accept that he/she just happened to get the info from some stranger standing at the bar; even if they did, do you really go on to print it??

I do believe there is news on its way, buy on rumour etc. Interesting that other BB are hyping it up with a take over, (not saying that it didn't cross my mind some many moons ago, this must have been raised on ADVFN more than a year ago, to mention one BB.

One question remains why hasn't Peter Aylmore and his partners not made a bid? Or indeed King Span? Who could buy ENRT over and over, or indeed any of the other licensee, I assume they, that were announced are still live? How nice it would be to get a comprehensive update from the company on all the past announcements.

So we are all faced with the dilemma that the directors failed to put in clauses to protect the shareholders, begs belief in more ways than one!! I for one don't buy it.

One does wonder though what 2K did with the extra 1 mill the Belgium bank lent them, without 2K supposedly not asking for it, stranger still that A bank gives you 3 million when you have gone with cap in hand and asked for 2 million, begs belief again. Must be one hell of a story. I read the above on the Internet.

I don't know how true, or indeed not true, but my understanding is that the Alpha line is somewhere in Latvia, (anyone able to confirm) doing what is a puzzle!! or could it be that I cut myself with my razor that was made from recycled Alpha line.

bluebelle,

From what I can assertain the big mistake from the previous management prior to Roger Baynham was to have a CEO from the Post Office to build an over complex "white elephant" of a machine down in Wales that couldn't cool the moulds down fast enough racking up a large bill in the process.

Now the burn rate is sub 50k a month(with debt little over £1m) and 2K having attracted £15m of VC investment ENRT can effectively sit back a let the royalties roll in. I agree it has taken 2k quite a while to build but once the first plant is up and running it should be fully scalable on a worldwide basis. A 2nd and 3rd line is expected to be built at Luton by next Autumn.

The big royalty revenues that could flow through to ENRT ought to be in 2012 assuming international sub-licenses are signed in first few months next year.

The outlook seems a lot more positive than earlier in the year and this is reflected in the trebling of the share price although there remain a lot more hurdles to jump through yet.

Fact that director have bought 18m shares over last 6 months can't be a bad thing.

People slated PDX 2/3 years ago and look at that now

I note on some sites the growing concern of a possible bid for ENRT, namely from 2K, surely KB would have (assuming he drew up the contract/s) had various clauses inserted, that 2K were not allowed to bid for ENRT for lets say 5-10 years, or anyone associated with them.

After all said and done, if as we are led to believe that the directors of 2K are shrewd cookies!! Then who would have known if they had a spare few million at the time of signing for their licence they then put in a bid? Surely that would have been a smart move.

I also don't see KB letting ENRT go (in a hurry) if that was the end of his salary.

I would on this occasion be very surprised if KB had not crossed the T and dotted the I.

the RNS only takes account of paid up shares on that date and does not take account of open T3's and T10's. I reckon there must be under 5m to go.

True, 14M shares (last RNS) will take a little more time to clear but it is not stopping the rise today. However once cleared, buying demand will result in a more substantial rise IMHO.

To have a sub-licensee issued via 2K would probably mean royalties faster than a brand new license as all the R&D for Ecosheet.Would probably mean royalties to ENRT within 9 months since the process will be turnkey based on Luton model.

A totally new license obviously reduces dependence on 2k but will mean royalty revenues are further out although it should trigger an upfront license payment.
