It has been widely publicised for sometime what to expect from white paper, i.e. likely slots reduced to £2 to £5 and hefty fines for operators who do not adequately protect customers. It will be good once the paper is finally published over the coming weeks so we can draw a line under it.

Mip - good spot. White paper due any day now and certainly before the summer recess on the 17/7 and it doesn’t look great. Spending limits / credit checks and a focus on online casino’s / online gaming. Explains the falls this week IMO

Nasdaq and S&P were down but closed positive turning around a
massive drop, the chartists will be all over that fact.

The ftse should rise 150 - 200pts at the open, but will
not and as for ent, a bid from Shay ( Dazn ) must be being
considered, he wanted to sell ent at 1380p to mgm when ceo
of entian.

Now is your chance Shay, do not dither, get a big position
could eevn spark mgm into action.

If this was old gvc under KA, we would surge 100p. But it is
not and will not.

One possible reason for the drop ?UK Gambling Minister Chris Philp addressed the Digital, Culture, Media and Sport (DCMS) Committee recently, providing insight into what's coming. No not surprised either the UK is finished and has been since 2000.

Dow surges ftse does not move.

Then when dow sinks so does the ftse.

The US have the UK exactly where they want it, under their thumb.

I think Boris has bigger issues than getting the paper out on gambling. Hope his endless cabinet changes don't delay this further :-)
I'm not suprised by anything anymore - especially market moves. No reason for going up or down on the ftse or Dow it seems.....

DK up 8%, MGM up 1%, Entain down 7%.

DK up 3% in the US and MGM -0.47% versus a crazy 7% fall here.

$32bn TAM US.. 20/25 share say 22.5..30 per cent ebitda margin.
One could argue any of the 3 above but if you take on board the reasonable assumptions. At half share It's more Ebitda than Entain (worldwide) made in 2021..investing is clearly not risk free but at 1100p or thereabouts I'm a buyer with a 5 year time horizon.. The sun is setting on the UK as a powerhouse but Entain has atleast 19 other markets plus US..

Just awful. Combination of wider markets, sector and just about everything else in the world by the looks of it.
My avg. is around £20 and it’s disappeared into the distance….

Seems like investor relations has been phoning some of the most optimistic analysts as both Investec and Deutsche Bank have cut estimates based on Australian tax, Germany and general economic slowdown. Although both keep it as their top pick in a sector they describe as being unloved.

Chart has broken down again unfortunately. No obvious historical support that I can see on the chart until 10 pounds. Of course the update on Thursday could change all that.

Mgm and Ent both now at pretty much the same share price they were back in Jan 21. Does make me think price could be being manipulated by the US.
