The industry will close down thousands of expensive shops when the leases allow - perhaps the government don't want to be seen to be the excuse why it happens? (too late, as employment taxes, business rates, etc, already make them not particularly profitable, when so much of the industry is moving online and offshore)

Been reading some articles online regarding the Government White Paper (not to sure how accurate the journalism is). However,talk is now that it might be delayed again until later on this year. Reasons put forward for the delay vary from the Government being distracted with other more pressing issues too the Review being more complex than originally thought and the Government making a 'pigs ear of it'. Anyway if true then by the time this White paper is passed in to law after being passed backwards and forwards between both Houses and debated endlessly could be the Autumn of 2023.

It’s not that they didn’t get a Dutch license it’s that they haven’t got one YET as the Dutch regulator has changed the application process slightly for former grey operators. They said they expect to get it later this year which is when Flutter have said they expect to get theirs too.
