21/5/2019 11:59 | AI... I sold the bonds just before the RI at around 95 - partly to buy my rights, and then added a load more equity just after... at 31 - a little too eager. But now well set up to enjoy the imminent recovery.... as long as the oil price plays fair.. | steve73

21/5/2019 11:31 | Given that there was a small write-up in last month's SCSW, a positive trading up could see a more prominent write up this month too. Looks for a dent recovery from here | badday

21/5/2019 10:14 | Great stuff Steve. Looking back that was a real bargain - although the risk was certainly very high at the time. I used to buy bonds many years ago. There is a lot of money to be made there as well as the regular income from dividends / distributions but most investors overlook bonds for whatever reason. I bought a £50k investment bond around 2009 when the FTSE was around 3600. Think I have made around a 70% return over a 9 year period (re-investing twice yearly distributions) A pretty lousy return considering the FTSE has doubled but part of my strategy to diversify my savings in less risky assets for my kids futures :-) Plenty of ENQ buying on Level 2 considering Brent has been falling all morning so far. | american idiot

21/5/2019 09:38 | ENQ1 bonds were around that price in 2016... Dipped down to below 30 at one point.... I picked up a few at c. 50. Although I can't see how TCG can recover as easily, certainly not if the OP remains high as we're hoping for here. | steve73
21/5/2019 09:26 | Mallorca, TCG bonds are trading around 40p in the £1. That tells you the equity is worthless. GL | american idiot
