Have EDV still any mines in Burkina Faso? Will the junta there do the same as the Malian one done (to Resolute)? West Africa is becoming riskier by the week.

87888 shares bgt back yesterday. That's £1.40m!! 10x the average number bgt back.I bgt another load too. The price yesterday was crazy. Sure the quarters performance was disappointing. However, that was only 1 quarter, the company was dealing a number of issues. The general direction is higher production and of course higher gold price for every quarter going forward.

Back in here at 1681p. Q3 results tomorrow. Hopefully should be the catalyst for the next swing up.Edv is a great trading share!! All being well tomorrow, it's hard not to see another trot back up to 1900. Q4 likely precious metals prices should be strong. Let's see how it plays out tomorrow!!

Newmont minings results has caused a re-evaluation of gold mining stocks with increased labour and energy costs impacting the bottom line.Maybe valuations in the sector have got ahead of themselves but gold prices continue to rise despite analysts and insiders saying gold prices are due a pull back.Maybe, but gold keeps hitting all time highs and whatever small retrenchment we see in prices they continue higher thereafter.

Druckenmiller famously sold his gold position the election night in 2016 when Trump was elected, but this year has invested big time in Newmont and Barrick gold miners.I wonder what his strategy is going to be the night of 5th November this year? I bet he doesn't offload his gold mining stocks election night this year!

The spivs,speculators and handlers of the gold price in financial markets have lost control of their ability now to manipulate gold prices by off-loading paper gold future contracts and through ETFs when it suits them, in my opinion.Retail safe haven gold buying in China because of economic uncertainty there and the continual demand and purchases by those central banks in the world, keen on seeing de-dollarisation and diminution of the dollar as the global world currency(most global commodities are priced in US$) will continue.The World Gold council give regular reports of central bank gold buying.Demand is there,out-stripping supply,so gold prices have further to rise imho.

Out again at 1900, 15% profit in 2 weeks. This is still incredible value. However, political uncertainty is not going away. It's never a profit until you take it. Good luck all holder's.

7th November for Q3 results.Centamin results were very good so i expect something similar here if production targets are met.

"A large drop in price as a result of the leader saying they want all foreign miners out of the country and he wants to terminate all mining permits. Endeavour had already turned over two mines as we know to the Government earlier this year. The idea of any sustainable mining with environmental impacts not being done by a proper company is a false economy. They may know how to mine gold out of the ground but at what recovery and efficiency. A sensible discussion is hopefully going on this morning. The new mines are not in BK. The company will be on to this today and hopefully they can point out that it is not a good move for the country."

I see the Mali junta have arrested four Barrick gold employees in the country on charges.Not an encouraging sign if governments in the region are going to start strong-arming western miners now.The president of Tanzania did it with Acacia mining so i've seen this all before.

I agree with your sentiment of possibly more to come.This is only up 9% YTD and 18% for the 1 year.Gold is up massively from a year ago.

alm999 keep the faith.The majority of investors it seems want growth stocks and are obsessed with capital gains on sps.US business channels talk about nothing else but the potential of AI and the 'magnificent 7' tech stocks with barely a mention of other stocks.Long may it continue because big tech investment is sucking up all investment flows meaning liquidity for other value shares is low.Good luck to them chasing valuations ever higher in tech stocks but gold miners like this are unappreciated at the moment so keep adding if you think gold prices can go higher....and imho they will.I've been adding at intervals.

These guys must be swimming in cash with the current gold price and production. I'm amazed there aren't 100's on this board. Maybe the 'gold rush' of investors will come after these guys report the next quarter or two. Maybe only then the herd will go into a frenzy

Fair point re FRES, but its all in the mix IMO/DYOR....I have higher risked ones such as HUM as CEY now taken out and I've sold. Just think Gold is heading North....DYOR
