04/7/2002 20:08 | njp, dont be tempted by mps at their low price - funny smell around mps - US a big mistake and lots of negative sentiment coming out on the iii bb - apparently fd doing a conference call next week - so picture may become clearer then. as for eit - well i havent posted for a while as not much really to add in this news vacuum. i agree with sam about the current european order - reading between the lines and putting together the information already in the public domain it would seem that the prroduct is destined for some application hitherto undeclared. it seems that this could well be the insurance market. if so then this could truly be the golden egg hatching. for telematics watchers - i had some transcomm a while ago - but they couldnt sell any units in the fleet mnagement market - and are out of it - same thing happened with traffic master - who sold of their fleet management division to cybit for a measly 1.5 m earlier this year - and they had sales more or less in the same region as eit. then there is good old mps who pump out lots of units and reckon they are market leaders - well the are now - but not for long - for my money a single market application is not the quickest route to the telematic nirvana. and this is where eit become such an interesting play. firstly they have their fleet management product but sales of 3000 ish last year are no great shakes - it seems the attraction of tracking your staff outside of the work place is attractive in theory but missses out when it comes to buying. then came the deal with chubb - the most interesting thing about this was the application - security and safety - noone else is doing that and its a big growth sector. as to when chubb place another order - its any ones guess but almost irrelevant if the next application is what we hope it is. so finally -"tracker" is the telematics hoover equivalent of vacuum cleaner - its a security device that sends a beacon out so the poice drive round in ever decreasing circles trying to find it for you - mmm... bet they love that! but the new trackers use gps and gsm technology sending location via sms to a control station which can track it down to street level - cool heh? but fairly common place and nothing really too special. the thing that the eit system does have the possibilty of doing is capturing history and allowing an insurance company to bill by usage frequency, mileage covered and time of driving - its all a bit futuristic but i read an article in the sunday times about 18 months ago which basically said that this is the only way for the insurance market to go forward. so if it is insurance you can bet that eit have just rattled the hoover cage with the equivalent of the dyson! and ask yourself this - with so many people ripping them off the insurnce companies have to embrace technology to maintain their margins - so it wont be a case of 5% discount if you have a thingy fitted it will be sod off until you get one. happy days! | fegga
04/7/2002 11:23 | Ive Brought today at 24p Lets have some news !!! SAV | oioisavaloy
04/7/2002 10:39 | Thanks NJP Looks like both EIT & MPS are up, along with my other watcher: MGCR..... G. | garth
04/7/2002 08:04 | Morning all EIT'ers EIT is worth a buy at this price im sure..... Im up for a few today Regards SAV | oioisavaloy
04/7/2002 06:10 | Hi NJP. Watching EIT and MPS - anyone help me by indicating what makes EIT the better investment? SAM - on what basis do you call EIT the market leader when they're such a little tiddler? Thanks. Regards, G. | garth
03/7/2002 20:56 | Sam - Wot, you given up on phone calls to Ralph, then ;-) Here's hoping he reads the bb. | njp
03/7/2002 20:21 | anyone noticed MPS, couple of week's ago it was over £3.00 now .88 .98? Wobble. | wobblechops
03/7/2002 17:16 | NJP - couldn't agree more. As far as I know, the Micpoint order is the biggest single order by size and value that ANY European telematics company has gained. And EIT were able to start deliveries immediately from stock and the WHOLE order will be called-off, delivered and invoiced before the end of this year. In combination with the Chubb order, the Micpoint order has fully endorsed EIT's leading position in the market - and points to a very bright future. Come on Ralph Stross, back your shareholders who have supported EIT through some rough patches and get Micpoint's client to agree to the release of information: that news will take the EIT share price to a realistic level, far higher than the current one which is frankly a nonsense and start to increase EIT's profile and gain a wider audience for its shares, its products and its potential! Kind regards SAMUEL 1 | samuel 1
03/7/2002 14:47 | If this falls much more, I won't be able to resist topping up. The Micpoint order makes this a much sounder play than it was when languishing in the mid teens a couple of months ago. | njp
03/7/2002 14:41 | re-bound will come, but only with news, come on EIT, at least announce the customer. Farazd, unfortunatly MM's can drop the price as they see fit. Wobble. | wobblechops
03/7/2002 14:18 | Nothing can resist the downward pressure of the markets currently. Confidence in shares generally is at rock bottom, and although EIT is considered on this thread to be undervalued, it has held up pretty well in the last week or two until today. Cant see any light just yet unfortunately purely on market sentiment. The question is - will there be a rebound this time or will investors steer clear until the dust has really settled, ie. market trawl along at a lower level?? | morose
03/7/2002 13:58 | There must something comming or the MM playing games - They can't just drop the price by 4p for 9k sale!!. The same as when it went up before the contract news last time it has been declining since last week IMHO. I hope it is just the market sentiment and not bad news. Faz | farzad
03/7/2002 13:17 | Down 4p today. What's up? | holdcroft
03/7/2002 00:24 | Wobble, I wish I had inside info...... All I have is a mate of a mate..... But that's what makes the world go round isn't it? As I said in earlier posts the CHUBB order depletes, which imo cannot be far off then it will be interesting to see how much the new order will be for. This will give us all an indication as to how CHUBB are doing with the cabwatch project. Does anyone know where the CHUBB control room for monitoring the cabwatch project is located and is it a dedicated one? Regards SAV | oioisavaloy
02/7/2002 16:06 | netmedic - welcome to EIT!(know you from MGNS). NJP is our astute resident accountant and keeps an eye on us! as he says, intangibles BUT assets nonetheless. There is no doubt however that EIT should be trading a lot higher on the basis of the Chubb alliance and the recent Micpoint order for 6000 VCG2 units(which will prove to be the most worthwhile piece of intangible R&D expenditure in the telematics industry!) - let alone any of the other developments in the UK and overseas markets which EIT signposted in the March results statement. I too believe that EIT will prove to be an excellent investment and the next move higher may well result from the release of the details behind the Micpoint order.(see post 639) The matter of EIT being a take-over target has been mentioned before. My feeling is that if it continues to build upon existing orders and show that it can replicate its successes in for example Holland with Micpoint, then it could indeed attract attention from A.N.Other. Kind regards SAMUEL 1 | samuel 1
02/7/2002 11:47 | netmedic - You're joking, of course. Net assets may be 19m but they're entirely intangibles - hence NTAV is nil. Having said that, I'm invested and looking for those repeat orders to move the price north. Don't delude yourself though that EIT is asset backed. | njp
02/7/2002 10:54 | Sav, anymore of your inside info? Wobble. | wobblechops
02/7/2002 02:01 | I can't believe that the institutions have not noticed the NAV per share of this company. It should be trading a lot higher than this, either that or it is a takeover target. It has to be a good investment. The big boys have just not noticed it! | netmedic
01/7/2002 14:34 | Good Afternoon Fellow EIT'ers No news for me then . SAV | oioisavaloy
28/6/2002 14:06 | Afternoon Wobble, Yes I sgree, there will be a significant move, but the problem is when!!! I still think imo that CHUBB must be very near stock depletion They were the ones that supplied the whole fleet of "roadrunner" cabs in Croydon, they also supplied a few black cabs in London. There is also the issue of lead times due to the substantial 6000 order, Chubb will not want to be caught with its 'trousers down' mind you with a dedicated control room that is being used (of which I have no information) I doubt CHUBB will allow too much of a wait for the new order !!! All I can say wobble is that IMO the order must be close, and as we know the EIT eagle soars on news !!!! Regards SAV. | oioisavaloy
27/6/2002 11:08 | Morning Sav, Just noticed NMS gone up to 3000? would hardly seem worth while changing it? also our market cap 7.03 mill, when the re-rating comes, I believe it will be substansial. any thoughts, Wobble. | wobblechops
27/6/2002 10:25 | Good morning all, Whats happening Wobble? SAV. | oioisavaloy
26/6/2002 08:37 | Wish I had got away yesterday. Total over reaction by the markets. The Eagle may dive for some food, although I think it will catch a Pigeon in mid-air and not need to land on the ground. It will return to protect the Golden eggs. | hyper al |
