24/6/2002 11:21 | Just read the last few posts and I agree with you both, IMO, EIT have their path mapped out to being a very successful company. They are indeed into many countries in Europe, as well as further a field. IMO we will get two bits of news in succession the first being an update on the customer for the Micpoint order (6000 VCG2 units). And the other being a new order from Chubb, I have been doing my sums and the initial order was for 1000, this must be nearly depleted by now as they installed a few at Croydon (road runner cabs) and the black cab market has been progressing. So IMO watch this space as you say hyper two weeks seems a realistic time period to me for news. Regards SAV | oioisavaloy

24/6/2002 06:30 | Good morning all Eagle watchers | hyper al
22/6/2002 00:48 | Very sorry that the lads didn't manage to take the place we all thought that they deserved in the semis - and then win the final! But back to EIT business: the news of the customer for the Micpoint order (6000 VCG2 units - with a retail value of some £3.5 million, the largest single order that ANY European telematics company has won) is what will send Eagle Eye racing again. My view is that the implications of this news are such that we could easily reach at least 50p on this alone. So, when will Micpoint give EIT the OK to reveal the full story? very soon I suspect: Eagle Eye must certainly be very keen to make the news public as soon as possible because of the additional marketing opportunities it will create. The customer? well we have considered TNT and PTT(The Royal Dutch Post Office) - and they seem extremely likely candidates for future additional large scale orders BUT my guess is that Micpoint has cracked an even more substantial nut and that the implications for EIT are enormous. At the end of March, EIT's CEO Ralph Stross was very bullish in his annual report statement about a number of developments being progressed by EIT in various countries but for me the most outstanding statement was ... "Micpoint is also currently in the process of negotiating contracts with a number of insurance companies in Holland, to fit Eagle Eye products as STANDARD EQUIPMENT in order to provide insurance on high value vehicles". Note - "a number of insurance companies". On 3rd April, EIT's broker, Beeson Gregory put out an update by its key analyst Barney Gray, that included the following statement "The group is now operational in 10 countries and points to SUBSTANTIAL potential upside in its negotiations with Dutch and Belgian insurance companies". (Very interesting that his words said even more than Ralph Stross revealed!) And then on 17th May, EIT confirmed the 6000 unit Micpoint order, for delivery BEFORE the end of 2002 - and note what Ralph Stross EIT's CEO said.."The telematics market in Europe is a MASSIVE opportunity for Eagle Eye and the developments made by Ed Mone (MD of Micpoint) and his team in Holland IS A BLUEPRINT FOR US TO ROLL OUT INTO OTHER COUNTRIES". Ralph Stross is very straight talking and very careful, so for him to be signposting such huge potential - based upon a model that has already produced a first order for 6000 units - is definitely worth taking very seriously. My guess is that the vehicle insurance market is the nut that Micpoint has cracked and if that is correct the potential for replication is indeed MASSIVE! That is why I stand by at least 50p short term! Kind regards SAMUEL 1 | samuel 1
21/6/2002 17:42 | Thanks for the positive post, I'm sure you are correct, but I think 50p is at the low end, like you say that's just for the Micpoint deal, if we get another larger order from Chubb then 70p+ will be on the cards. This is a stock for holding medium/long term, I think those who sold yesterday and today may regret it within the next 2 weeks. Regards Hyper Al | hyper al

20/6/2002 10:13 | Hyperal Another exciting day in the life of the eagle, come run with emblaze. | ericthecat
20/6/2002 09:24 | Yes Hyper, yet another.... I would like to see some movement, but I guess that might be a few weeks away. I wonder how the order for 6000 is doing? How far are they with it? I still see 62p as a realistic target price. Regards SAV | oioisavaloy |
