I am surprised at the reaction here to the award of options to the Company Secretary, I suspect he does quite a bit more than attend a few meetings and sign a few documents, with California, Indonesia and in particular China to go at he should be busy.

I would say that often the Company Secretary's role is often combined with the Finance Directors but perhaps more to it in this case, anyway the strike price is 17p that's 5p more than todays and he cannot action for a year so he will need to buy them, lets hope he trebles his strike price, its 0.625% of the share capital.

Perhaps more to come with a geologist yet to be named, now that's out of the way we may get some updates.

2,500,000 shares for attending a few meetings and signing a few documents
Great job if you can get one
Are they mates?
At least it’s at a half reasonable strike price

Thanks Maltby.
Clearly he doesn't need to be formally announced then.

Yes the new Company secretary was introduced at the AGM and came to the pub afterwards, an Aussie as you would expect!

Toon, as you are mates again with TK, any chance you could put in a good word for me?
EME chauffeur when in London. £300 a day and let's say 1,500,000 options at 17p?

Jemjem. I agree totally why give a part time Co Sec any options, if he isn't any good kick him out that's the only incentive he needs or should get.

Hope this isn't the restart of the previous options nonsense of a few years ago Christ he will want to give Cross some options for being a dozy old sod next.

With an incentive like that he must be a surfer or is also in charge of the Cupcake and tea making facility. Important to incentify this position ! Now that that RNS is out of the way I'm looking forward to the much anticipated asset update RNS's GLA HT

So long as Cross doesn't get any options, I'm happy.

That's true showme - but it beats me why a Company Secretary needs to be "incentivised".
If he doesn't do the (admin) job properly, then boot him out and get someone who can. Seems pretty straight forward to me.

Imo

Well that will be a very happy company secretary if we get to £1 a share. £2m for doing a £30k a year job.

Well, I must be getting a bit out of touch, or very senile. (Probably both).
Mr Whyte was appointed on 15th August 2017 - the same day Amanda resigned.

Not that it matters, but I thought a change of Officer had to be announced by RNS? Maybe that's not the case for Co Secretary, but other companies do it and I assumed it was a requirement.
Perhaps he got introduced at the AGM?

Hey ho. Back to sleep.
