If the vessel is towing a long cable then working a neat grid would not be possible. I'm sure the captain knows what he/she is doing

No change from the above picture; it has not made it any further SW. It is still in a similar location making the parallel lines.

I'll update tonight when I'm in Devon.

Yes, it reminds me of pictures of spiders' webs when the spiders have been dosed with LSD!

OK folks, it may be looking a bit more orderly; you can decide.

Parallel lines appearing? Still a bit to the NE, but it's a start.

Here's the sort of configuration I was expecting. This is from another region I'm following, off S Africa/Namibia.

721 appears to be a bit more random, so to speak.

I wouldn't buy on any of the images I post.

TBH - f knows what is going; there's no structure to routes. Maybe there does't need to be? I'm no expert in this.

FYI - I will not be around for the next few days, but I may be able to post an update on the evenings as I'm taking a trip to the SW.

I'll post an image in the morning before the market opens without comment, so long as I'm awake.

I'm inclined to take the opinion of a global leader in maritime surveillance. But you do you. JB might be nailing the right vessel but I wouldn't buy based on it. Again, you do you

721 is further NW than I would have wanted but coming back Jade's way.

Jade is where the squiggly lines are to the bottom left.

Do folks prefer the larger images or these ones? Vote up for large, vote down for small.

Further, the other permits were due “in the coming weeks”. Yet here we are 3 months later. Read into that what you will

January RNS
“ A further five permits are in progress and expected in the coming weeks with the last of eight permits requiring the well site survey in order to complete”

It’s fairly clear the survey is required to apply for the final permit. It will be surely, permit, then mobilise rig, onto spud. Given EME timelines it’s unlikely spud will occur for a number of weeks or even into spring

Hopefully when the 2 site survey permits have been received we'll get notification of the other outstanding permits then it's all systems go. The delay of the site survey isn't t really delaying the drilling if we are still awaiting other permits too, that was my point

Punt, that's not true- this is taken from Decembers interims. The well site survey is critical to 2 of 8 essential permits required to drill. A total of 5 permit applications have already been made and are expected to be granted in the coming weeks. The last permit relates to the oil spill response plan which is currently nearing completion and expected to be lodged within the coming week . As these permits are granted, the Company will provide updates by way of announcement.
