The well is part of the Rancho-Capey gas field under the operation of Peoco LLC

You can use this to even find coordinates, and google the site.


coordinates are 39.763241 -122.06957 put these lat and long in here...


Dempsey is on the same pad as a previous well and so you can see that on map/google in amongst the orchards, by the road, and rail line

Also very clearly stated in the main EME web page on China.

“Subject to Empyrean first entering a Production Sharing Contract (PSC) after successfully completing the GSA phase, and in the event of a commercial discovery, CNOOC Limited will have a back in right to 51% of the permit.”

So very well spelled out & very well known to those invested in the company.

Certainly all the major shareholders know it. And it's included in the narrative of virtually every RNS that EME release.

"Empyrean is operator and holds 100% of the exploration rights through to commercial discovery where CNOOC have a back-in right to 51%."

EME paid nothing for the acreage (which is why it was such a coup for a tiddler like EME to be awarded the block). EME pay all the costs to get it to "commercial discovery" - unless they farm out part in the meantime.

What I’m not sure about is what they would have to pay for it. Is it 51% of what we paid for the licence, or some unspecified enhanced price based on the new asset value.

I don’t suppose Gaz has to pay us back 51% of what he was paid to help secure the assets. 🤔

It looks like the department of conservation had a full two weeks off at Xmas, last permit being issued 21/12, and now a new batch on 3/1, with eight being granted. Hopefully they will be catching up now.

Good to see a reversal in prices of SGC. Lets hope this is the start of a bit of a rally.

As a holder of both SGC and EME it's encouraging to see the increase in share price last night from 8 cents to 9 cents. I hope perhaps news coming through of the permits/licences having been granted. ?
