Is there scope to rework any issues identified in the cement bond log, if required?

I agree that the selling needs explaining.

Too close to news to be sensible traders.

I suspect it is derisking by those who bought at a much lower price?

Who knows?

Like I said we have sellers.
I'm afraid it will take news

HonestMarty - indeed. No rush at all. Just my view when news will come but Im just as happy if it takes all week as long as its good when it arrives. I must say the people trading today must either have balls of steel or be stupid!! Not quite sure which - probably a bit if both. I wouldn't want to be selling at 22p thinking I can buy back much cheaper- but each to their own!!

Testing results must be very close. Could well be an RNS from SGC tonight ahead of ASX opening. But if not certainly tomorrow/Wed at latest IMHO. It's hard not to get excited!!

KJ,

I think we have crossed lines (probably my fault)
I was trying to say that lets hope that the cementing was successful and that the cement bond log finds nothing untoward and its integrity is intact

When the casing is put in place it is normally cemented into position.

In the RNS release of the 18th Sept was the following statement:

" 5 1⁄2” liner run and cemented to protect zones for testing "

The cement log bond checks the integrity of the cement behind the liner to ensure no breaks or weaknesses.

harr,
From the last RNS
1.11.17

Safety testing of the equipment is on-going ahead of the perforation of the lowermost zones in the well for natural gas flow evaluation. Prior to this, a number of steps need to be taken including the cleaning out of the lower well bore; cement bond log run and evaluate for well bore protection integrity; and then the assembly and running of completion equipment and tubing conveyed perforating tools is required.

The cement bond is put in place to support the casing during the drilling process. The cement bond log is to test the integrity of the cement bond for faulty bonding and weakness which could result in fluids leaking.
That's my understanding of it anyway.
