Big dog, 're below post, I tend to agree with year 1 revenue figures, however in the Sacgasco video update (Good Oil Conference) he states at 14'00" that for every million cubic feet per day produced it is $3m+ gross revenues current prices! It seems to me that somebody forgot it is $3/mcg, and hence his figures should be divided by 1000 and would be $3000/day not $3mln!? Unless I have dyslexic hearing!?

From the PS report.

Until a flow test is completed an estimated gas flow rate from Dempsey-1 is anybody’s guess. Gas could flow at 1 mmcuft per day or at over 10 mmcuft per day, only testing will
determine the outcome

As a guide, assuming conventional gas field production decline
rates and current Californian gas pricing, if the well flows at an
initial rate of 3 mmcuft per day, it should generate about A$3.7
million (US$2.9m) in pre-tax operating income over the first year

Brimsley they don't know what the deep zones will produce yet the shallows aren't what's keeping us here.

Thanks for posting BigDog some real sensitive young lads on here - apologies anyone?
The report is better read with the graph showing the basin flow profiles and decline curves, funding required per partner (placing ahoy!) etc
Strachan has done a good job with the new information he has gathered direct from his mates in Subiaco no more nonsense about 20 scuffs production from Monday please. Read the report!!

Looks like we have just missed out on the three months over $60 bbl period for our extra payment. Am I right in thinking it ends within 2017

Looks like it's easier at this stage for MMs to scare rather than tempt people out of their shares. All noise while we wait for the main event.

I have just re-read Steve Larrat's post on Sacramento and in particular the part regarding Dempsey, I have great difficulty reconciling his post which seems very positive and the Strachen bits of report which do seem some what conservative to say the least, to be honest I could not understand many of the figures they had in the August report.

I guess we simply have to wait and see the flow rates, I am surprised at the price action today, I thought we would be well up not 25p but certainly 23p plus range

If Dempsey hits big I expect an offer will be forthcoming for all JVPs from mid/major US player. EME are in much better position than OZ JVPs to resist unless its mega bucks....

Some one is trading this brilliantly.
Fair play to them, it might only be for small profits but they have at least made some money while we wait. With such low volume if you bought low and sold high its just a never ending money tree for them. Its also only a 50/50 chance they are out when news drops. Also a 50/50 chance they are out if bad news drops. Just need a few people with plenty of shares.
I would also say they are not stupid and will at some point just hold or sell just before they have an idea news will drop.

If gas in this location has an insitu value of A$1/Gj, subscribers can work out how much
value will be ascribed to each partner’s working interest
from each well and the whole project depending on the
amount of gas that makes its way into the Reserve
category. For instance if 300 Pj of gas is recognised in the
structure, which has potential to yield over 1 Tcf of gas, the
~A$300 million of value for this gas could be apportioned
along the lines of the working interests after the three farm
-in wells have been drilled i.e: 36% SGC, 30% EME, 10%
PCL and 24% XST, provided that each participant is able to
fund and retain interests at current levels.
In the light of progress achieved and the added down-hole data collected from the
Dempsey-1 well, StockAnalysis has reworked a risked valuation estimate for Sacgasco to
itemise gas discovery zones at Dempsey-1 and to look at risked values for the upcoming
three Dempsey trend wells, along with the proposed Alvares well and the risked upside
valuations of surrounding permits over large structures.
Success at Dempsey-1 lowers the risk profile for this prospect and provides support for
improved probabilities of success at look-a-like prospects in the Basin.

I would have done if you'd have asked nicely in your first message rather than being a d!ck... the report is pretty clear that nobody knows the outcome until the flow tests are released "which are expected next week".

bigdog13,

Referring to your first post on PS report, it implies that should Dempsey flow at any decent rate it hugely de-risks the other on trend areas I think there were 3 from memory.

The report states if 1.5tcf for Alvaras actually its 2.4tcf but whatever then even with the reduction in working interest presumably because of a placing and a smaller % that would be an Aussie dollar for SGC so a six fold increase for Alvaras alone is that correct.

Therefore if we transpose those figures then eme looks very big indeed plus we have Indonesia and China.

I am unclear with the flow figures they certainly err on the side of caution, anyway it all looks good to me.

IMHO, DYOR

Bigdog you can post as you want but we have had a lot of supposed holders on here in the last couple of months who were not what they seemed.

If you are genuine then great - i did not say you were not.

Why not post the whole report update then we will be sure ;-)
