05/11/2024 10:20 | Some big sales | juju44
04/11/2024 18:37 | Looks like the share overhang might be cleared. | redhill
31/10/2024 10:23 | In my opinion we now have clarity. AIM shares will now only qualify for 50% relief from IHT with tax therefore payable at 20% instead of 40%. Definitley makes them less attractive as an IHT hedge | suffolkjim
30/10/2024 13:17 | .From the Guardian - this is not terribly clear to me: Finally, we will reform agricultural property relief and business property relief from April 2026. The first £1m of combined business and agricultural assets will continue to attract no inheritance tax at all. But for assets, but for assets over £1m inheritance tax will apply with a 50% relief at an effective rate of 20%, This will ensure that we continue to protect small family farms with three-quarters of claims unaffected by these changes. I can also announce that we will apply a 50% relief in all circumstances on inheritance tax for shares on the Alternative Investment Market (AIM), and other similar markets, setting the effective rate of tax at 20%. Reeves says these changes will raise over £2bn by the end of the forecast period. AIM companies, and investors, had worried that their IHT tax relief would be removed today – those fears have pushed the AIM market down since the general election was called in May. | suffolkjim
30/10/2024 08:42 | Luckyabbeygale on the 24th October you posted that a broker had told you that AIM stocks would drop 20-30% because of IHT being applied to AIM shares. Now you are posting that the budget will not be as bad as expected. Exactly who are you?. The Chancellors bit on the side who gets all the pillow talk or simply an idiot? Which is it? | cevodniya
30/10/2024 08:37 | Luckyabbeygale, are you psychic? If more than you believed that, wouldn't they pile in at 6.10 and take a quick 15% in a day? Yourself included! | cevodniya
30/10/2024 08:30 | And a nice early intra day move from - to + | apotheki
30/10/2024 08:25 | The budget looking like it will go better than expected for aim shares. I can see EEE closing at over 7p today. | luckyabbeygale
30/10/2024 08:25 | As with many shares listed on the AIM you have to say that EEE are now looking well over sold and indeed cheap! | apotheki
30/10/2024 08:23 | I’m pretty sure the recent falls is all to do with the budget and nothing to do with EEE AIM seems to be in the limelight regarding CGT and Inheritance Tax Depending how the budget actually goes, things will either settle down or perhaps EEE will reconsider listing on the ASX if AIM is no longer viable Let’s see how the day goes but just hold tight :o) | rupple
30/10/2024 01:29 | Where is Gecko and his 20p targets? | the count of monte_cristo
29/10/2024 18:17 | According to LSE there are no open short positions atm | jelignite
29/10/2024 16:54 | Looks like more of a case of a few big sells dragging this down but plenty of small purchases. I hope this is not being shorted only for a silly offer to come in and pi's sell out cheaply! | redhill
29/10/2024 16:32 | Not enough evidence of extraction success. Lot of punters thrown in the towel. Long way now from the can’t fail days | juju44
29/10/2024 14:15 | Nope.Plenty of money in the Bank and nothing but a good newsflow. | redhill
29/10/2024 13:23 | Someone knows something!! Looks like coming for money again | goforgold1
29/10/2024 08:30 | Oh dear new year low . | juju44
28/10/2024 23:10 | Saracen3, so, using your logic. I'm going to sell assetts in a class that possibly, potentially could at some time in the future, near or far, based purely on assumption and invest aforementioned assets into a vehicle that is 100% subject to IHT. Relly mate, your investment logic is incredibly inefficient. | cevodniya
28/10/2024 22:22 | saracen3 That makes no sense because the proceeds will still be subject to inheritance tax if there are any changes made in the budget. | redhill
28/10/2024 18:58 | IHT funds getting sold ahead of the Budget hitting lots of AIM stocks. | saracen3
28/10/2024 09:45 | Yes, very frustrating. You would have hoped that the share price would be aligned with the progress the company is making executing it's stated plan. Unfortunately every positive news release is met with a negative effect. Perhaps 'radio silence' would be a better option! As far as I can see the prospects here haven't changed so I continue to hold and will accumulate as and when funds are available. | mikealig
28/10/2024 09:13 | Hold on tight here as the marketmakers try to work out where the support level is | suffolkjim
27/10/2024 16:26 | Goforgold has been ramping Vast the money pit for years. 100% track record of being wrong. | saracen3 |
