Yep widened the spread but didn't stop the buying. They'll have to do better if the MM's want to take the afternoon off!

Empire Metals* (EEE LN) – Interims highlight continued progress on derisking Pitfield

Empire reports interim results for the six months to 30th June 2024.

The Company is progressing the Pitfield titanium project in Western Australia.

Two primary target areas within the large 26.4-32.2bnt exploration target (grading 4.5-5.5% Tio2) are currently being targeted.

Empire has identified a weathered cap zone, which is believed to contain a higher-value, high-purity anatase zone.

This will be the primary target for processing given anatase’s similarities to rutile and thus the potential to produce a higher value feedstock for both the pigment and metal sponge industries.

The Company reports a cash position of £2.4m as of 17th September 2024 following a £3m placing.

Going forward, Empire’s focus is on processing of the unique Pitfield orebody, alongside delineating a maiden MRE.

Current diamond drilling at Pitfield is intended to support mineral processing test work on the anatase section of the orebody.

Higher the volume wider the spread! The opposite of normal trading pattern. Current spread ridiculous on the face of it though I dare say the MM's are well inside.

The quality and experience of the team that Bunn is building gives me confidence that the titanium will be extractable and the current research is simply to define the most viable and commercial way to proceed.

well klosters65,
AIM punters like us clearly have our hopes up, but the real Ti market players clearly do not. If there really was a buzz among Ti miners, producers, buyers, manufacturers, traders, intermediaries etc, they would be throwing themselves (and money) at this to get in early on a slice of the pie (and the share price would be substantially higher than it is). At least at speculative levels. It has not happened.
Maybe the word needs to be spread further, but I think that this find is simply dismissed as yet another minnow trying to make a splash but has very little to show for it in terms of extractability of exotic mineral compositions of Ti. Today's share price indicates that they don't believe it's doable.

It's up to SB to prove them wrong. I hope he can -before the next placing.

That is what is a perplexing conundrum. Either we have what will be the largest titanium mine in the world with investors falling over in the rush to buy shares Or be grateful for the share price seemingly stuck in a doldrum, thus giving us time to build a meaningful position.

Klosters/cev, further to my post and right on cue!
‘...The resource potential for Pitfield to continue growing and is unmatched anywhere...’
Currently estimate for weathered cap alone at over 4 billion tons.
Cash very healthy 2.4mil.
Cost of latest planned drill only 150,000 so could see excellent bang for buck there since it will be targeted.
Great announcement, great team.
Yes I’m positive on the stock. It’s hard for a rational person to read that and not be but, of course there are risks, and each to their own...

Pit field is likely to the biggest Titanium zone in the world, once chemistry & extraction methods confirmed & with view to the view that our resource is likely to run as deep as 5km (or more).Additionaly, being W Australia makes it the easiest country in the world to mine feedstock ,process & ship, with minimum political risk & potentially substantial Govt support.Russia & China are currently the worlds biggest producers & threatening to stop exporting .Woner who could take up the slack ?

Klosters65/Cevodniya, I don't think the size of the deposit is in question. In fact it could get significantly bigger. It is all about the processing and the risk premium the market is attaching to that. The processing can be divided into the feasibility and the cost should that feasibility be proven. My position is based on the market overstating the risk premium attached to the former, the feasibility. There's a lot of headroom for the latter. Clearly the metallurgists in the team and at Curtin are aligned or they would be wasting their time. Of course it is possible we are wrong but that's what makes a market!

Klosters65, not trying to catch you out mate at all, just curious re your thoughts.
Currently capitalised at what £42 million.
£30 billion titanium market globally by 2030 and EEE could have potentially 15%, so £4.5 billion a year in 2030.
Effect of that revenue on share price
Capitalisation potential increase from current to £500 million x10, £5 billion on that revenue generation x 100, seriously £50 billion less than a 1/3rd of RTZ.
X 1000.
Happy with that?
