27/9/2011 17:38 | Bearing in mind this company has cash worth 2.5p a share its a decent platform and Mellon and Dattels know what they are doing. Look to previous RNS and you will see former CEO of Lonmin, Brad Mills, is also a major investor in Ferrum | wiseacre
27/9/2011 15:43 | I don't think the wad by the directors is there to be sniffed at. lol Its a . . . fairly sizeable wad! | tomboyb
27/9/2011 15:37 | Get ready for the big move forward, EML still under the radar | acta_topup
27/9/2011 15:21 | Next buy will probably tick up the offer - 2 v 1 | tomboyb
27/9/2011 14:54 | Agree with you all - excellent news - a strong vote of confidence for the value of Ferrum. The bottom was 2p. 2.5p beckons in the short-term. Thereafter, in these difficult times, advances will surely need to be news related. | skyship
27/9/2011 14:46 | Pretty confident large stakes - £400k and £340k not be sniffed at and give a degree of confidence to shareholders for the venture. L2 2 v 1 50K Max online. | tomboyb
27/9/2011 14:27 | Very positive news. These guys know what they're doing! | someuwin
27/9/2011 14:11 | Certainly a good degree of faith with those relativly large buys at a pretty good price considering. | tomboyb
27/9/2011 14:08 | Having been a little concerned about the possible price of the private placement, i am quite satisfied with the outcome. Now all we need is for Ferrum to find something big! | rbf
27/9/2011 13:58 | It looks like management have voted with their wallets here and quite big chunks as well. 400K and 340k respectivly for mellon and dattals. | tomboyb
27/9/2011 13:51 | Hi richgar, Re your tax query of 21st, suggest you read -Gengulphus's 4149 of 30.5.2010 on the CGT board; and - zangdook's 2928 of 29.5.2010 on the (old) URU board, together with the related link to a URU RNS. The long and short of it appears to be that certain offshore co's qualify for a tax credit even if none has been deducted.... URU is another BVI-incorporated Dattels vehicle, so the read-across seems valid. As ever, NAI, DYOR, I'm not a tax expert etc HTH | extrader
27/9/2011 13:50 | 5 v 1 only 250k left on offer MAX - at 2.19p | tomboyb
27/9/2011 13:40 | James Mellon has just put in 400k of his dosh at 2p - dattals 340k at 2p per share - ---- - | tomboyb
21/9/2011 17:29 | Working on my 2010/11 tax return today and, looking through my tax certificates, was reminded of the EML divi paid in May 2010. My tax cert says it was paid with no tax deducted, so am I right in thinking I'm going to be charged tax on it when I declare it in my return? I don't suppose the fact that the country of incorporation is the British Virgin Islands helps me here. This puts today's POLO divi into perspective too: we get the 2p divi but the stock price falls by 2p - yet we have to pay tax on the 2p divi (even if held in an ISA), so effectively we're out of pocket by 20% of the amount of our divi payment. Am I right here, or can someone enlighten a man without an accountant? | richgar
21/9/2011 11:18 | Certainly in the short-term Vosene and a few others have correctly called POL over EML. In the medium term I expect the position to be reversed. | skyship
21/9/2011 11:17 | A bit of activity today. The two 400ks could have been a put-through, but usually that would be done less than a minute apart; so could well have been two purchases. Perhaps an indication that the placing price will be at a premium to the current share price ..; certainly no lower than 2p. | skyship
16/9/2011 14:45 | What dilution? Not unexpected - especially when a previous RNS mentioned high Net Worth individuals joining. Good to tap them for cash but at the cost of more shares issued. | timtom2
15/9/2011 18:21 | Things may be moving but disappointed by the lack of detail on the private placement.....what is the subscription price? | rbf
15/9/2011 15:07 | Update positive for the private placement including certain directors. At least things are moving. | pip_uk
07/9/2011 20:55 | Someone is interested blocks of 50000 being bought on a regular basis. | kinloch
01/9/2011 07:21 | Dattels clearly hedging his bets on funding Ferrum | shavian
20/8/2011 17:56 | I think that the cash held at last year end has been invested in a private mining business. I aim to buy more stock should the price fall with the general market | kristini2 |
