Eggy , When the seeds are sown you do reap the growth if there is any?.

Some seeds start to grow on stony ground but fail when the growing gets tough .

I think you will find Mr Slater and others advised what should be done but was the advice taken on board .And was it correct.

Its ok telling others what to do when its not your own money at stake .

Some people never have enough money and want more and more .

Some are just bitter and will always want to be the top of the tree.

Actually being stubborn and a know it all pasona can take over ones life in some people ..

If the organ grinder cannot control the handle and coordinate the monkey then they need to call it a draw and give up .

Its how the world is today unfortunately .

re-search the old posts .

some research is on this BB and on the internet.

Sooty

It is sad but ultimately you reap what you sow. It is for the public record that he is bankrupt sadly. He could be living it large in Southport now. Pleased to hear that he has provided some sound advice that pulled you out of Debs. Hopefully Barrie can find his inner peace and move on. My granddaughter is big into yoga and apparently finding inner peace works wonders. Best of luck to him on this.

Codey everyone is a leaky sieve. You have fatty Slater, even fatter lying Andy Robinson selling cheap booze Castleford Tiger. He runs dandrgroup.co.uk .And then there is google. By all account you have a first hand perspective on Barrie’s sorry state so not sure why you’re asking in the first place.

56p is a 11 bagger for me. Not quite enough to retire on but getting close.

DYOR.

Thanks eg2mrb. Poor sod if only he had held on to his shares. I take it he lost his court case then? I quite liked his QC posts over on the DEB site. Is he really debsdowner? If so thanks Barrie. It was your well informed posts that helped make my mind up to sell out of DEB when they were circa 50p. It's not the first time someone sells at the bottom. Professionals alike. The so called experts told Gordon Brown to sell most of our gold reserves at the bottom? I know a very well known technology fund run by a so called superwoman selling out of technology when the Nasdaq hit 1,000 now at 8,284.................Any guesses?

Lol.

Sooty, Barrie lost big style. Lost his shirt, house and everything else.

Guess his shares that were bought at 5p would be worth £3-4m now.

One of life's ironies i guess.

He's now debsdowner

The Board currently expects the tender offer price to be 65p per Ordinary Share (which the Independent Board, having consulted with N+1 Singer, the Company's nominated adviser, considers to represent a fair valuation for the Group). However, as the share price of the Company at the time of making of the offer cannot currently be known, the Board reserves the right to alter this price if the share price of the Company following Completion does not perform as currently expected or, following consultation with Shareholders, a different price would be in the best interests of Shareholders as a whole.

the Board reserves the right to alter this price if the share price of the Company following Completion does not perform as currently expected

This sentence extracted from the above paragraph in the RNS is probably why the share price isn't higher

Hi Babbler - maybe that the tender will be for a % of your shares. You'll then be left with another % of shares in Checkit plc.
The LTIP payments reported by eg2mrb above are shocking - hopefully they didn't sway the decision to sell?

Amazing share price performance but has anyone seen payments to directors? Over £7m with £4m going to Wilson.

It will be very interesting to see how the continuing directors and major shareholders propose to accept the tender offer. Well done all at EKT

Unlike the last few years no trading statement prior to the AGM today. I must assume that the reason is that there has been no change in outlook since the prelims 7 weeks ago. However the market didn't like it - down 4%

I think Daley`s "success" could be explained in this way:- The hand that destroys is best able to build again. ( sometimes )

Code,

Yes,a good turn around from 5p. However the shares traded above 30p from july 2010 to May 2011, when they they went to about 44p. Judged over the long term this has been a lousy investment. Keith Daley is no genius: a little tricky maybe.
